To expect too much is to have a sentimental view of life and this is a softness that ends in bitterness.

I throw my left leg, aiming at Aron's head.

He quickly dodged my strike spinning around and came right back to attack me. I blocked his advances and continued to attack him. My body did a back aerial flip backing away from Aron. I picked up the knife lying near the back of the mat.

Aron defended me with the knife in my hands. The knife was close to the tip of his nose as his hands clasped close on the knife. He instantly knew I was quick and grabbed my wrist tightly making me drop the knife from my hand. He twisted my arm behind my back.

I grunted loudly and bent forward using my entire weight to flip Aron over on the mat. Aron stared up at me with widened eyes. I placed my foot on his chest as he grunted exhausted as ever.

My chest heaved up and down as the sweat dripped down on the side of my face and lower back. A wide smirk spread on my lips.

"You got me, kid." Aron chuckled, tapping my ankle.

I quickly pulled Aron up to his feet, grabbing his forearm. Aron stretched his back groaning loudly like a grandpa. "You slammed me too hard," Aron muttered with a laugh. He clenched his right shoulder.

Aron looked at Baekho. "You shouldn't have taught her that move." Aron pointed his white towel at Baekho.

Baekho sheepishly grinned sitting on the couch, arms folded across his chest with his left leg crossed over his right.

I started to fan my face. Wearing a black tank with my school's gym sweatpants was such a bad move. There was no AC in The House. I could've worn shorts.

"She learns really quickly." Ren pointed out to Aron. Aron nodded, agreeing. "With your flexibility, you can be a pretty outstanding fighter, Cindy," Aron replied.

For once, I felt super happy hearing that. Just hearing that Aron had faith in me to be a skilled fighter like him motivated me to practice more.

I winked with a smile and a peace sign. "Thanks! Being a gymnast athlete always came in handy."

"For how long?" Ren curiously asked.

I tapped my chin. "For a good seven years, maybe?" I answered. Ren nodded, impressed, giving a thumbs up at me.

"Can you take me down?" Hoshi abruptly asked, leaning off the stacked desks.
