Days had passed since Sasha's emotional funeral. I was so sad about loosing my best friend. I had night mares every time I closed my eyes. Seeing Sasha's body on the lake, floating so peacefuly, it was scary. The same scene played over and over in my head all the time.

As I got ready for school I noticed a small and dark shadow in the kitchen. I brushed it off because I was already extremely late for class. I grabbed my back pack and ran to school as fast as I could. I enteted the school gates just as the bell rang, signaling classes were starting. I walked a bit further before I fell straight on my butt. I looked infront of me and there was nothing there. Just a black figure.

I stood up and brushed myself off and continued in a hurry. I got to class just in time and was soon seated. I took notes and the rest of it. My teacher stood at the front of the class explaining how to solve a maths equation. It was complicated and I didn't understand it what so ever. Huh, just like my life.

Class finished early and I was soon swept out into the busy corridor. Everyone was talking loydly and pushing padt one another. It was a chaotic sight. I slipped between two lockers and breathed a sigh of relief. A sudden chill hovered in the air and I began to feel uneasy. I stepped back into the crowded hall and began to frantically search for my phone. I needed to go home, there was something wrong here. Very wrong.

I dialled my mum's number and waited for her to answer. It went straight to message bank. I swore under my breathe. I stood still and thought about my options. I decided that I should just go home. It was beginning to draw close to the end of the year so I didn't think that skipping would be a major issue.

I headed off to the school parking lot. I sat on a bench outside and thought about my life. I was beginning to think that my job as a paranormal hunter should be a good thing really. I guess it was a distraction from my messed up life. I still needed to kill that god damned siren in that horrid lake. Again a shiver ran down my back.

I stood up and felt a jolt of power surge through my petite body. I had no control over myself. I was moving out of the school and along the foot path. Panic. All I could do was panic at what was happening. No matter what I tried, I was being controlled.

After what felt like years of walking I was heading into the forest. The same forest that Sasha had drowned in. Tears streamed down my face but I continued to walk deeper and deeper into the dark canopy of the woods. The lake came into view and that was when I lost it. This was exactly what happened to Sasha.

I struggled against the ghost that had brought Sasha here. My suspicions were confirmed as I was drawn into the water. I coughed and spluttered. I felt bony fingers grasp onto my legs and arms. My mouth had been covered by the sirens hair. This was how Sasha died. This was how her life ended. She had no power over it and now I knew how scared she must've been.

This was how Sasha left the earth. But it wasn't how I was leaving........
