"What do I have to do? I mean, I have to do something, right?"

Smirking, Lilith replied. "I have told you that, I will give you ten million dollars in the easiest way possible. For that, you will need to do a very simple thing."

Xiaojun scratched the corner of his eye, not having a clue as to what he had to do. "What simple thing?"

Lilith looked at the small, metallic cube in the male's hand. She stared for a while before a smile crept up her face.

"Lighter." That was all she said.

Raising his eyebrow, he looked at the lighter in his hand, feeling discombobulated.

"The lighter should be lit ten times in a row. You cannot miss it."

Letting out a scoff, Xiaojun leaned back in his chair, feeling disappointed and tricked. He let out a laugh as he swept his hair back in amusement. "Oh my God! This lighter? Should be lit ten times in a row? If you give me ten million for this task, then your ten million is gone! You're done for!"

Crossing her arms over his chest, Lilith listened to what else the male had to say.

"This lighter has been my companion for many days. No chance I'd miss! The lighter could be lit as many times as I want."

He flicked the lighter on and off in front of Lilith, the flame nearly touching the tip of her nose. Yet she still didn't waver. Instead, she looked deeply at the flames and her eyes lit up like a torch, before turning into cold black pearls as the small light disappeared.

"But what if you fail to light it ten times in a row?" Lifting his eyes from the little box, he looked up at Lilith.

"I think you don't get it. There is no way I'll miss it," he said matter-of-factly. "If I say a hundred times, it'll be lit a hundred times."

Raising a single brow, she placed her elbows on the table and locked her hands together.

"If you fail to light the lighter ten times in a row, then..."

"... one person will die anywhere in the world."

Straightening his back, he looked at the girl. "Will die?" He blinked his eyes several times before speaking. "You mean an actual person will die?"
