Injured
Part 4
@jkficzNote: In Instagram, this is split into two parts!
Y/N POV
Practice is okay, you just play games with Max. But you feel bad because it's the last practice of the season and the last time that you would've been able to run with the seniors before the final race. But you tell yourself that you need to be grateful that the doctor is letting you run at all.
On the way up to your apartment (you live in the dorm), a boy gets in the elevator with you. He is the faster guy runner on your team so let's call him Falcon (cuz when he runs, he flies fast😂). He also lives in the dorm and has stayed with your family over breaks so you guys are friendly. You can't deny that you are a little bit interested in him too.
"Hey, Y/N, are you still gonna come tomorrow?" He asks you.
It's been a confusing time. You didn't really tell anyone (except for your best friends and the coaches) what was actually going on. To everybody else, you just said that you were injured so that you cant run. You haven't been running for two days so naturally, people had questions.
When you told your coaches that you couldn't run, they still wanted you to at least come with them and you also agreed because you wanted to go too.
"Yea, I'm gonna try and run," you tell him."Run?" He asks shocked. You nod with a weak smile. "Sweet!" The elevator stops at his floor. "Awesome, okay, see you tomorrow!" You wave as he gets off.
The next morning, you wake up early for the final race. It's in Seoul so your bus leaves really early. You sleepily put on your clothes.
As you make the short 5-minute walk from the dorm to the front of the school, you take some medicine and chew on a bagel.
You and your mom calculated the times that you need to take medicine last night. Since you are not supposed to take medicine on an empty stomach, she gave you a granola bar.
Runners have a very strict diet, especially before a race. If you don't eat the right things, eat too much, or too little, it could affect your running.
You meet Julia, Hailee, Jacob, and Max at the front of the school. Jungkook is unable to come to this race because the coaches limited the number of runners able to go because of Corona.
Note: Yes, I know in real life, Jungkook is fantastic at everything including running. However, the character in my life that I am basing Jungkook off of didn't come. I was really conflicted writing this cuz I know the real Jungkook is good at everything and that's why he's the Golden Maknae. However, I want to make this realistic in what actually happened. I am sorry to say that I know this series might not be the most entertaining and most interesting and the BTS characters are a bit off but please remember that this is my life and nobody in it compares to BTS :) Sorry long note I'll shut up now.
You climb onto the bus and immediately fall asleep.
*Ringtone*
You wake up to the bus lurching to a stop.
"휴게소! (Hyugeso! Rest Area!)" The coach announces. "10 minutes to go to the bathroom or get water!"
You reach for your phone and turn off the alarm that you set. It's time to take your medicine.
"Y/N, you should take your medicine now," Julia reminds you. You nod.
Grabbing your water bottle, you manage to choke down twice as much medicine as you normally take because you know that you'll be in a lot of pain today. You also grab the granola bar that your mom gave you.
