Chapter Fourteen

Nicollete

I am nervous and anxious as hell while waiting for her, Bendell is a cozy resto but my hands keep fretting.

“Sorry I’m late” Adrienne came and kiss me on the cheek, mabuti na lang at medyo dim ang ilaw kaya di niya nakita ang pag blush ko. She’s really pretty and I can’t help but ogle how she looks and how she moves.

“It’s okay” I smile at her and damn her smiles, ang ganda talaga ng babaeng ito,

“You know what I am a little surprise that you invite me for dinner” she said

“I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to….”

“Don’t mention it, I’m happy that you invite me for dinner I should eat a lot minsan lang kaya ako malibre” I can sense her witticism.

“Yeah sure, you can order whatever you want ” I said na parang tanga na nakatitig lang sa kaharap ko.

Adrienne suddenly look at me with her dreamy eyes, damn again she’s really adorable with this gesture.

“Talaga? Ang bait mo pala we should be friends’ long time ago” Adrienne said as she started to scan the menu.

We started talking random things while we are eating, and I just found out that she’s a down to earth heiress. Kaya mas lalo ko siyang nagustuhan at hinahangaan.

“If you don’t mind me asking why you still don’t have a boyfriend” Adrienne said out of the blue di ako nakasagot agad napatitig lang ako sa mukha niya, bigla akong napipilan

“No, no…walang ni-chismiss ang pinsan ko kahit may pagkachismoso si Finn he values friendship a lot, but you know how rumors turn every corner kahit ayaw mong malaman di talaga mapigilan” she explained, maybe she thinks that I got offended but I wave my hand dismissively

“I get you, kahit ganun ang boss ko he never invade my privacy and I like someone” I said looking directly in her eyes.

“That someone might be very lucky” she said nonchalantly, I was about to open my mouth to tell her that she is that someone but image of Berrde flashes inside my head,
I creased my forehead, what the hell bakit ko naisip bigla si Sahjid?

“Hey are you okay?” worried as written on Adrienne face and I immediately nodded

“How do you find Berrde Nicollete?” nagulat naman ako sa biglang tanong ni Adrienne, of course she knows Sahjid they run in the same circle.

“We’re friends” maikli kong sagot

“But you look good together” I almost choke in my drinks from what I heard from Adrienne.
I don’t know how to call Berrde now, are we still friends? or fuck buddies?.

I was about to say something but Adrienne got a call taking her ten minutes before coming back, nakasimangot naman ito ng bumalik.

“Is there any problem?” I ask

“Is it okay with you to get wasted tonight?” she looks annoyed and pissed peru ang ganda parin talaga.

“I don’t mind” I replied and she starts calling the waiter asking for a beer.

After an hour

“Fuck I’m so drunk Nicollete” Adrienne said incoherently.

“Me too” I said trying to open my eyes but it’s dropping

“You know what I hate him but why do I keep thinking about him” Adrienne murmured again,

“I like someone but that someone love someone else, cheers Adrienne” itinaas ko ang bote ng beer and someone grab it.

“You are both drunk, enough with the love sick drama let’s go home” I never get the chance to know who was it bigla na lang akong nakatulog.

But there are times when it was hazy and fuzzy, when I tried to open my eyes I saw his handsome face looking at me intently, his green eyes it’s very beautiful.

I tried to raise my hand to hold his cheeks but I don’t have a strength to do it.

“Berrde…..” I said
“hmmm… I should call you vixen then” I heard him say and I drift to nothingness again.

“Anong oras ako hinatid ni Sahjid?”

Clay was lying on the sofa, he pop his head and look at me like I lost my head.

“You are drunk to death that you imagine me as Sahjid? Ang gwapo ko kaya kaysa arabong yun!” I creased my forehead.

“I saw him last night”

“You saw him in your dream, damn isipin ko na ba na nagkagusto ka na sa arabong iyon? It’s me you are calling Berrde last night, I was the one who took you and Adi home” I blink twice, so it’s just my imagination? But why?

Bumangon si Clay at umayos ng upo,

“Sino ba talaga ang gusto mo Nicollete?” he seriously look at me.

“I don’t know”

“Figure it out”

“I’m trying!”

“Try harder, because I heard that Berrde Sahjid was about to be match to someone from a royal family” I am tongue tied from what Clay announce in my face.

But most of all I don’t know why but I hate the news! I fucking hate it.

I turn my back and head back to bed my head is pounding and Clay isn’t a help either.
I was lying in my bed trying to think logically.
We are friends too, or does our friendship ended when we started to fuck?

Bakit wala siyang sinabi sa akin?
I reach my phone on my bedside table, I dialled Sahjid’s number peru walang sumasagot.
I took a shower and decided to pay him a visit in the hospital, Hindi ko na naabutan si Clay na pakalat kalat sa condo ko,

“Dr. Sahjid is on leave Ma’am” I nodded and head back to the parking area, I dialled his number but no one answered. I heave a deep sigh before I drive myself to the Sahjid’s beautiful mansion.

Dahil nasa system na ako pinapasok ako ng mahigpit na guards,
It is not my first time here but everytime I set my foot on this majestic home I can’t help but admire it like the first time.

A valet open my car and I handed him my key to properly park my car, sometimes I just can’t believe how this rich elites live everyday luxuriously.
One uniform maid ushered me to the receiving area, she bowed and about to leave when I stop her.

“Can you please tell Berrde that I’m here” she nodded and bowed again.

I just busied myself staring at the paintings hang in the wall when the maid came back.

“Ma’am, young master refuse to see you” she said and I was dumbfounded

“What? Is he sick?” the maid shake her head,

“Then why?” this is the only time since I know Berrde that he refuse to see me even his busy,

“That’s all the young master said Ma’am” the maid respectfully said. I inhaled deeply,

“Okay” I said and turn my heels to leave.
