Chapter Tweenty One

Nicollete

“Nothing can stop you do you?” malungkot kung tinitigan ang boss ko ng ilang taon, Finn Rivas is not just my boss but my also friend.

I nodded,

“Kahit kagwapuhan ko?” and he still the boss who loves himself,

I look at him sadly,

“Wala na ba talaga yang gamot? Yung pagbubuhat mo ng sarili?”

“Wala, kasi di ito sakit  it’s a fact, by the way Line Arrow later?” aya nito bigla

“Pa-dispideda mo?”

He looked at me flatly,
“Ilibre mo naman ako kahit isang beses lang”

“You are a fucking billionaire itself, di pa yan kasali ang bilyon-bilyon mong mamanahin galing sa magulang mo” inirapan ko siya and he just chuckled.

“I’m going”

He nodded and decided to send me to the basement where the parking area located.

“Nicollete let’s get wasted tonight, after all misery loves company” he said sadly and I nodded,

I made one last glance to the company I been working for three years, so long….

He look at me seriously,

“Are you sure about this?” he asked while staring directly in my eyes.

“More than anything” I firmly answered.

“Why Public Lawyer? You can start your own firm Nicollete, you can hire good lawyers” I look at him seriously, like my face can tell already how determined I am.

“Kahit di man sobrang halata peru sobrang idol ko po kayo” I said at halatang nagulat ito, then his face fell sadly like he remembered something

“Maybe before you put me in the pedestal but now I’m sorry Nicollete, I’m so sorry for hurting you” his eyes are red, and I can feel the sincerity of his voice

“Dad, I understand now that love is a complicated thing” I truthfully answered.

“You are still thinking about him?” I was surprised how he know, and as if he can read the question in my mind he answered

“Nicolette you are my daughter, you are my princess and I know that you are not fine, you may act tough and okay but to my eyes I can see how hurt you are” I bite my lower lip to stop my sob, I tried to hold my tears but it’s hard after all I am a Daddy’s girl.

He gave me a tight hug and let me cry my heart out then he ruffled my hair, like he used to,
When I’m done he looked at me and dried my tears then he smiled

“Did you know that I never have any regrets of marrying your Mom----that’s because she gave me you and in this world it’s only her that can give me something like you anak” and my tears continue to fall.

I look at the woman’s back standing in the middle of our garden filled with cadena de amor, she stand there regal and noble that she is.

“Good Afternoon po” I said and she turn to me,

“Would you like some tea or anything you like for drinks?” I politely asked but she shakes her head.

“Hija, I would like to talk to you are you busy? Sorry for the unannounced visit”

“It’s okay I can spare some time” I said and guided her at our gazebo.

When we are settled Mrs. Sahjid hold my hand automatically

“Are you mad about what happened?” I shaked my head

“I understand” I truthfully said, ilang buwan kung iniyakan but it will be for the best. Me and Berrde didn’t meant for each other we are merely part of each other.

“I am not surprise seeing you together with my son that day Nicollete because the moment that Berrde knew you exist his world revolves only to yours” I swallowed the invincible lump on my neck but I maintain my facial expression.

“I’m so sorry Hija, but can you wait a little longer?” she added and I sadly look at her.

I shake my head.

“I’m sorry but I’m inlove to someone else already” I said and saw Clay’s name blinking on my cellphone screen.

“Excuse me Ma’am” I politely said and answered Clay.

“Yes Babe….Yes, I’m sorry I have a visitor…not a client…..okay bye, I love you” I turn back to Mrs. Sahjid and saw her eyeing at me carefully.

“You should warn that someone of your’s Nicollete, because you belong to my son” she said and I meet her gaze.

“I don’t belong to someone Mrs. Sahjid, if you don’t mind I have a client to meet” I smiled politely at her and she nodded.

“Have a nice day Hija” she finally said and get inside her car,

I heave a deep sigh and went to my car, I still have a long day ahead.

“Bakit ayaw mong pumunta sa Bendell, kahit man lang sa Line Arrow o sa Antonias?” talak ng kapatid ko habang kumakain kami sa Fiestahan.

“You like there because you can stalk Seth” I stated,

“Obviously!” and she not even bother to hide, my sister is quite creepy she became obsessed with Seth for fuck sake!

Then she saw someone na nagpalaki ng mata nito,

“What?” I asked kasi ang overacting ng panglalaki ng mata niya.

“It’s Adrienne with Seth, gosh I love Fiestahan now” eksaherada nitong sabi, I turned my head to see it myself.

“Adi!! Here!!” did I already mention that this half-sister of mine is thick face?

I saw how Seth face looks so annoyed, kina-usap pa ni Adrienne si Seth at umiiling ito then Adi made her way to our table.

“Bakit ikaw? Si Seth gusto kong kasalo” napasimangot pa ang half-sister kong makapal ang mukha

“You are creeping him Hannah, kawawa yung pobre sa stalking skills mo” Adi said and looked at me, I apologetically looked back, hopeless case na ang kapatid ko.

She just said “hi” and leave, naka-pout pa si Hannah

“You are really over her?” now she started eyeing me, daming time ng kapatid ko ah!

“I don’t even know if I really love her, maybe I just really did like her” I said and shrugged.
