yesterday i might have been under the rain a little too long. hm, i mean i spent like 10 minutes actually under the rain, and the next 15 minutes laying there while the rain started to stop. i didn't go into my house immediately, no. resulting in me having a cold right the next day.
"good job y/n." you rolled your eyes, sometimes you regret the things you did.
your nose was running so bad, you finished a box of tissues in a day, which keep in mind i usually finish a box of tissues in like at least a week or two. also, we won't forget the fact that i am unemployed which means i basically don't have any income.
"i'm in a phase where it's not going well and that's okay because everyone has experienced that .. right?" you were so tired, you barely have any sleep last night because your damn nose was clogged. nose red, eyes red, not enough sleep.
and to make it all up, i happen to not have any medication right when i need it the most. so, while in the middle of me being sick and feeling like i'm
not gonna make it pass today without passing out, i decided to go out and buy some pills.you had to drag your feet that felt heavier than usual, lazily walking to get my car keys and driving to the nearest store. if i think it through, i should've taken a cab or something, shouldn't have to drive by myself.
you stopped your car, parked right outside the pharmacy and went in. you were feeling tired, but you had to keep your shit together. you went to the meds isle, seeing the pharmacist there standing. "uhm hi, i just got a cold. runny nose, tired, you know all that." you said, sniffing in between.
"hm, you look like you need to rest a lot more today miss. your eyes and nose are red, not to mention the handful of rolled tissues in your hand." she let out a small chuckle, jokingly. "i stayed a little too long out in the rain yesterday, but i'll definitely rest, i feel like shit right now."
she excused herself, finding the right meds for my cold. you blow your nose, trying your hardest to keep polite because the pharmacy was way too quite. moments later she came out from the room behind, along with a bottle of meds for me.
"are.. these for me?"
"mhm! take 2 a day, preferably before you eat, so before breakfast and before dinner. you should be fine in a bout 3 days." she took a plastic bag, handed it to me while i took out my money.
"that'll be 11.40." you handed her $12, "just keep the change." you gave her a warm smile, before turning around to walk but soon landed on your butt. "ow!" you caressed your butt, you had bumped into somebody, tall. you looked up, only to see the most familiar face.
"you."
you squint your eyes, blowing out the biggest sigh. there he goes again, the stranger from the park who was crying. "you?" he didn't even offer to help? wow. "not even an apology?" you stand up, tiptoed to his length, but can only reach his chin.
"cute." he whispered, you froze. you were going to go off with sorts of reason why he should apologize, but you backed up, cleaning your clothes before taking your meds and gave him one last piercing stare before saying, "if i see you once again, i make sure you apologize." you scrunch your nose, going out of the pharmacy and back to your house where you took off your coat, plopping yourself to bed.
// TAEHYUNG POV //
you were sweating, taking your tissue and wiping it against your forehead while beads of sweats won't continue to stop. you sighed, clicking your tongue realizing this might happen for the rest of my life. i can't live like this anymore. you took your keys, driving past red lights speeding to your local pharmacy.
you always buy sleeping pills there, it helps you get calmer at times, especially when it comes to, well, sleeping. you parked your car, locking it and going inside the pharmacy. workers there had already know you, saying hi while you enter.
you were walking to the back where the pharmacist was at, but seeing a familiar, short figure chatting there. you knotted your eyebrows, "hm, she looks familiar." you shrug your shoulders, getting distracted until you felt something hit your chest.
you looked down, and there she was, again. she had fell, maybe bumped into me.
huh, is she that small that she fell when she bumped into me?
she stood up, going up to my length where she fails and ends up on my chin anyways. i let out a soft chuckle, before whispering something i had not plan to. we both stare into each other, probably about 2 second before i had realized what i said.
i cleared my throat, she walked out, but said something about how i should apologize. when she left i let out a chuckle, my lips curled upright. "mr kim, i had never seen you smile before. i've been working here since almost 3 years ago and this is my first time seeing you smile. is she.. special?"
my pharmacist winked, making blood rush all to my face making me blush. "n-no..! i just happen to be in a good mood today.. that's, that's all." you cleared your throat, once again. she kept smiling, raising her left eyebrow while she rest her face in her palm. "so, tell me a little something about her."
you sighed, there was no escaping from her now. "she .. she just reminds me of someone. someone i miss, a lot. whom i loved a lot too.. *chuckles* i mean yea, she is maybe kinda special." you had stopped a few times in between the words but, somehow all i'm saying seems to be so.. clear.
"hm. if she can make you smile since years, then i, your pharmacist of 2 years and 9 months encourage you to maybe take a shot with her." she winked, before going to the back room and taking my sleeping pills. i've been a loyal customer here since forever, and they know exactly what i need when i get here.
"here's your sleeping pills, oh and, don't be shy too." she laughed, before taking the cash i gave her.
jeon y/n .. i hope we meet again.
