It just sat there. It didn't move, didn't speak, didn't blink. It was like a programmed robot that just sat there, staring. If its eyes weren't wide open, darting across the room every few seconds, Izuku might have thought it was dead.
Honestly, it looked like a fish.
Sharp teeth, big creepy eyes, slimy-looking skin that was dull and gray. Its eyes freaked Izuku out the most. The more he stared at them the more he felt like he was staring into a void, a shell of something that used to be living. Like he was staring into the eyes of a dead body.
So the green-haired boy looked down at his arms. The pain has subsided and the dark purple bruises had begun to fade. Some spots, like the very tips of his fingers, had already faded enough for it to barely be noticeable.
The temperature of the had gone down to a bit. Just enough for Katsuki to find it bearable.
After the nomu came in, Dabi and the girl left, leaving the nomu sitting down with its feet out like a child, looking in the general direction of Izuku and Katsuki.
There were so many things running through Izuku's head.
What was that whole thing with Dabi about?
Why did he freak out in his sleep?
Why did he look so afraid?
Kacchan doesn't get afraid. Why did he tell his Auntie to stop? What did she do? Maybe I'm overreacting but still.
Even without that, we still need to figure out how to get out of here and what to do about that nomu. We need to find Kota and make sure he's safe.
And what about One for All? All Might never said anything about this. He never said anything about there being a healing part to it. He never actually talked about it that much in the first place. I still have to learn from him.
Why did the villains even take us from the camp? Why Kacchan and I?
What don't we know?
"Deku shut the hell up. You're mumbling. Don't worry about what Shit Face was talking about or about what I said while asleep, you fucking stalker."
"I-I wasn't stalking you! You were r-right t-there! I-I just happen to be n-near you!" Izuku shot back, pouting.
"Whatever you say, Stalker. We need to focus on what important right now. How do we get out alive? We don't have a plan," the blonde mumbled, glancing around the room.
"What do we have?"
Izuku didn't answer, thinking it over. "Why would Dabi let us go? What's the purpose behind it? We need to make a list. We need to figure out what the right questions are before we start trying to figure out the answers." Katsuki nodded in agreement, thinking carefully about it. "The importance of an orderly mind." Katsuki thought, the corner of his lip twitching.
"What's the plan? How do we go through with it? And how do we get rid of that thing?" Katsuki said, pointing at the nomu who simply stared back blankly.
Biting down on his nail, Izuku leaned against the wall, mumbling a series of words and phrases. "What if we don't get rid of it?" The green-haired boy wondered, his eyes brightening. "What?! That thing is going to crush us! It'll kill us!" "Not necessarily. Didn't you see how it didn't move until Dabi ordered it to? What if it's like a computer? It doesn't do anything unless you tell it to. It needs orders. What if we made it work for us instead?" Izuku felt red eyes stare at him intently, but he didn't turn to meet them. Instead, he looked at the nomu.
