There wasn't much to say. Aizawa was angry and the five of the student that sat in front of him knew they messed up. And bad.
"Do you understand what you did?! Do you get how everything could have gone wrong!?! What were you thinking!??!" Aizawa snapped, running his hand through his hair.
"Aizawa-sensei, I take full responsibility for what happened-" "Iida, sit down. All of you know what happened and you're going to tell me who came up with this idea," Aizawa interrupted, shooting a sharp glare at the students.
"It was mine," Kirishima admitted hesitantly, glancing up at his teacher. "Of course. No one else here is stupid enough to come up with something like that."
"Aizawa, that was a bit harsh," an officer pointed out. "What's your point?" Aizawa growled, sending him an icy look. "Er- uh- nevermind," the officer swallowed, quickly dismissing the question.
Returning his attention to his students, Aizawa crossed his arms and sat in the chair.
"Why did you all agree to do this?" Aizawa sighed, rubbing his temples and silently wishing for a coffee.
"We want to become heroes. Heroes are supposed to save people right?" Uraraka mumbled. "Heroes aren't supposed to go around and ignoring laws," her teacher countered.
"We were worried. And we thought we could do it," Momo said in a quiet voice. "Well," Aizawa replied, "you thought wrong."
In all fairness, they could see why he was so upset. If he had shown up even a few seconds later, things would have gone terribly for them.
Kirishima pushed his back against the cool wall, glancing at Momo. "Are you sure this is the place?"
Momo nodded and said, "This is where the tracker says the nomu is." "Okay. Then Midoriya and Bakugo are probably here too, right?" Urakaka asked, checking to make sure no one had seen them.
"That's the idea," Todoroki mumbled, grunting as he strained his neck to look into the alleyway next to them.
If he had passed this place one day on the street, he never would have guessed that this was where they were keeping Midoriya and Bakugo. He never would have guessed that this place was protecting something important to him. If he had, he would have burned it down.
"What's the plan?" Momo asked, turning to the redhead. "I haven't exactly gotten that far-" Uraraka groaned, exasperated "-but I have the basics figured out." Kirishima shot Uraraka a look.
"I think we should take small steps first-" "The cracks in the wall," Todoroki mumbled. "What?" Uraraka questioned. Momo gasped, looking at him with wide eyes. "That might work," she murmured.
"Someone explain," Kirishima hissed, looking at them. "Cracks in rocks grow during the winter," Momo began, catching on to Todoroki's plan, "because the molecules in ice spread out more than they do in water."
"Basically, Kirishima," Todoroki mumbled, slightly annoyed, "when water freezes, it grows. My quirk. Ice and fire. Fire melts ice into the water. Which can be frozen again."
"You're going to speed up the process of erosion over thousands of years," Iida realized.
"That's the cooler way of putting it, yes," Urakaka agreed.
"I'm still lost," Kirishima huffed.
"We're going to use Todoroki's quirk to spread the cracks in the wall out enough for us to get in," Uraraka said flatly. "Oh," Kirishima nodded.
