Hours later, Daisy awoke. She sat up fast, flustered as she knew nothing of where she was... The last she remembered she'd been out on the farm. She swept her hair into a tight ponytail. Her piercing eyes narrowed as she took in her surroundings. The room was small, pale blue. It reminded her of a hospital, the way everything seemed sterile and impersonal. Without batting an eye, Daisy knew the place couldn't be trusted. Double checking there was nobody around, Daisy slid from the bed and crossed the tiled floor like a cat, reaching the door quickly. She extended a hand and opened the door to reveal a boy. On seeing her, an irrepressible grin consumed his face.
"Who're you?" Daisy said.
"They said you were tough-" the boy started, before Daisy seized him by the collar.
"Where am I? What's your name?" She demanded.
"I... Can't... Breathe..." He choked. Daisy rolled her eyes and the boy dropped with a gasp. The boy straightened his back and pouted.
"I'm Prince Spaery." He said grandly.
Daisy chortled at this, put her hand on her hip and next asked where she was.
"The Kingdom of Kraal."
"The hell's that?"
"I'd rather not answer you. Nobody speaks of my future kingdom with such, such... disrespect." Spaery spat.
"You forgot how easy I had you a minute ago?" Daisy raised an eyebrow.
"No," Spaery answered airily, folding his arms, "I just don't like you."
"You're immature." Daisy said, tilting her head to perceive him.
"I don't like you!" Spaery repeated. Daisy turned to return to the hospital room.
"See if I care." She said over her shoulder as she disappeared.
