Ophelia.....Ophelia...Ophelia wake up...

She heard Evan...his sweet voice echo through her head.

She slowly opened her eyes, the bright white light shining through the space...she felt peaceful and calm. "Where are we, Evan.?" She asked looking around curiously. "W-wait am I d-dead.?" She asked him. His eyes became watery and that's when she finally noticed two stab wounds..one in his chest and the other in his abdomen. The same areas where she was in pain before she became unconscious...

"N-no don't- Evan..." She said..her voice shaky and distraught. "Honey don't worry I'm fine!" Evan said walking over to her and embracing her into his arms. A little tighter than usual, knowing this might just be their final moments together.

"Evan..nooo nooo ple-please.." Ophelia held onto him as she cried and sobbed...Evan tried hard to not break down with her, but he couldn't hold it in any longer.

He yelled out in pain and cried with her. All he wanted was to protect her and be with her till they grew old. But this was unfair...having to die young but at least together he thought.

"Evan l-look at me." Ophelia said, wiping away his tears and holding his face up to hers.

"No matter what ill follow you wherever you go..okay? I don't think id be able to live without you.."She said looking into his eyes, with a slight smile. He felt his throat tighten up, just by looking at her tear-stricken face. "I-I can't-." He said, shaking his head and looking away from her.

"What..?" Ophelia said in shock not knowing what else to say. "What if one of us is in the hospital right now and we are just in a coma or-"

"STOP-NO I DONT CARE!" Ophelia shouted, her voice echoing through the walls. "If you live then I'll become a guardian and ill protect you.. as your guardian angel! hmm, what do you think about that?" She said, her voice sounding desperate with each word she stated. "But what if you're the one going to live? then Ill also become your guardian angel no matter what Ophelia!" He said holding her tight.

"No- no no! either you live or we both move onto the afterlife! I cant and I know I won't be able to live without you Ev-"

"Ophelia please!" Evan shouted tears running down his cheeks. "I won't let you do that..ever."

A sudden cold gush of wind came from behind them, and a tall dark figure appeared.

"Hello...Evan and Ophelia." The one and only Archangel Azriel said. His deep voice booming through the room. "It seems to me that Miss Ophelia here has misunderstood the situation.."

"What do you mean by that...uhm Mr.-"

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself..sorry about that. My name is Archangel Azriel, but you can call me Mr. Azriel." His hooded cloak suddenly disappeared, and a very tall tanned, and mysterious angel appeared." His appearance was intimidating, with dark eyes and even darker hair. His wings were dark as the night and an all-black outfit.

"So..this is how an angel looks like..?" Evan asked suddenly. Ophelia turned to him and covered his mouth with her hands, scared that any little sound or question might set him off and be thrown into the depths of hell. "Why would you sa-"

"Well not exactly..." Azriel suddenly said and turned himself into this big sphere with wings and hundreds of eyes. "AAHHH WHAT THE FRICK!"Ophelia yelled out in shock.

"Sorry did I scare you.?" Azriel asked with a sly smirk. "Yea what was that all about?" Ophelia asked bewildered, hiding behind Evan. Evan turned to her with a scared expression.."Really your hiding behind me!"

"Who else?"Ophelia said, looking back at him with a sly frown. "Okay love birds, sit down we have to talk." Azriel said when suddenly a small coffee table and three chairs popped up from nowhere. "As you may know..your dead. Well, Ophelia isn't really dead, she is just on the verge of life or death that's why she is here with you right now."

"So Evan is dead..already?" Ophelia asked, looking at both of them. Evan just shook his head slightly. "Unfourntly he is..dead, but I'm able to find a solution for his death."

"And what may that be Mr. Azriel?!" Ophelia asked.

"Well only if you let Evan be your guardian while you go back to the mortal world and he stays here with me. But once you pass away you'll be given the title of guardian just like Evan here and have a total of 1 year together, and then both being able to choose to stay as guardians for your friends and family or have a rebirth at the same time to find one another again...and this time living till 100 years old together? How does that sound?" Azriel said, a little too joyful..almost sounding sarcastic.

"NO!"

Azriel startled by her quick and loud response dropped his cup of tea.

"What!?" Evan shouted at Ophelia, bewildered by her response.

  "No.?" Archangel Azriel said.

"I won't agree to the deal." Ophelia said, holding onto Evans's hand. Evan quickly pulled his hand away, giving her a confused look. "Ophelia I'm dead, can't you just agree to the deal! Your acting as if I'm able to come back with you when knowing damm well in the mind of yours that I'm dead and your alive therefore this is the best deal your making with the king of death." Evan explained, with his teary eyes.

"Archangel actually...the big ole man up there doesn't like referring anyone as 'king'." Azriel stated while pointing up to the ceiling.

"Ophelia listen to your husband here..he may just be on to something." Azriel said, with a sigh.
