AN: Hey guys, welcome to my new book, Percabeth: As We Grow ! I'm super excited for this book, and I hope you like it!

Annabeth's POV

Percy told me to meet him here, in the park, next to this pond. I'm standing next to a bench, looking for him. I can't see him anywhere.

Then again, Percy loves to play pranks on me. Last time he told me to go to this "fancy restaurant" and wait for a surprise. I did, thinking excitedly he was going to propose to me. Turned out, I'd forgotten it was April Fools Day. The "fancy restaurant" was a cardboard standout. When it fell down, I barely got out in time. I ripped my dress too. Percy thought it was so funny but I still haven't forgotten it.

What if this is another prank? But it's not April Fools...

"Annabeth!"

I turn around.

There he is.

Perseus Jackson.

I grin and run into his arms. He smells of the sea and...wait, what? Is the famous Percy Jackson wearing cologne?

He's wearing a light blue button up polo shirt and dark blue leather jeans. It's not too fancy for most guys, but for Percy...well, let's just say he normally wears crumpled T-shirts and shorts.

"Seaweed Brain, where have you been?" I ask him. He plays around with his fingers. He holds a carry-on bag in his arms.

"Um, n-nowhere. Nowhere special." he says nervously. I look at him suspiciously.

"Oh, by the way, I brought flowers." he says, pulling them out of his bag. I gasp.

They're my favorites, hyacinths. Of course, they're blue, a typical Seaweed Brain trait, but his ideal date is going to KFC and eating fried chicken on a bench. This is different.

I suddenly realize it. He's not going to...propose to me, right? I mean...we've only been together for 4 years...

AN: By the way, they're both 20 years old.

"Percy," I say as I eye him warily. "You're not gonna propose---"

He gets down on one knee.

I gasp.

"Annabeth," he begins, getting out a small box, "I realized I liked you when we were 14, when you were missing, I missed you so much, my heart ached. It's been so long, I need to--"

That's all I need to hear.

"Yes!" I scream.

In one, swift motion, I push him to the floor and kiss him. He smirks and mumbles through the kiss, "You ruined my big speech, Wise Girl."

I laugh and pull away. "Speech or no speech, I was waiting for that."

This time, it's him who leans in to kiss me.

AN: Hope you guys liked that! And I hope you didn't explode with Percabeth feels...
