Harry's POV

Months have gone by and sometimes I still have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not huddled in the corner of my little dark room dreaming of a life away from the shouting happening downstairs. I have to pinch myself to make sure I am truly living the life that I'm living.

The one where I wake up every morning to Louis's beautiful face and his morning kisses. Zayn's cup of coffee waiting for me at the kitchen table and Liam's bear hugs. Gigi's sassy attitude and Niall's contagious laughter and the stability of knowing there are people out there who love me.

And so I do, I pinch myself and every time my fingers nip my skin and I can feel the dull sting in conformation that I am actually living this life.

I shift my head a bit which lays on Louis's lap and look up at the boy who walked into the coffee shop oh so long ago and decided to teach me what love was. I remember being absolutely terrified of giving someone so much control over my emotions and that it would never last. I remember not wanting to end up the way my parents were but he had shown me differently. That brave moment when I had during our first date, laying out there that I had fallen for him still made my heart skip a beat.

Louis had shown me that by opening up and loving them, you will always have someone to lean on. He proved that especially when my father came and blew up our Christmas. Since then I've always been able to depend on him and I don't know why I went so long thinking it could never work.

The soft melody Louis had been playing on his guitar floated through the air and I caught his eyes, "What are you playing? I've heard you messing around with that same tune for months now."

"Song I've been working on." He says simply.

"What's it about?"

"Oh, just this guy who I'm absolutely crazy about..." Louis says nonchalantly.

"Oh yeah?" I say a tinge of pink growing in my cheeks, "Tell me more."

"Well, he awfully adorable and has the cutest smile and this really curly soft brown hair." Louis says inching his face closer to mine, "And bright green eyes that mesmerized me the first time I saw them...and these perfect pink lips..." He finished by kissing me softly.

"Wow... he sounds great," I say grinning.

"He's the best."

"What's the song called?"

"Only the Brave."
