"Yes. I love Abi." He admits confidently.

"Finn. We're live. What-" I start, but he stops me.

"I know. And I would scream it from the top of the Empire State building if I could. But we're not in New York yet." He smiles. I roll my eyes.

"Oh my gosh!" Maya exclames. I swear I could see the light bulb above her head. "She can sing, too!"

"Maya," I warn, but she waves me off.

"She can. She's amazing." Maya gushes. I sit here, blushing. My face could stop traffick.

"Will you sing for us?" The little girl in the crowd asks. (I notice she has an accent. British.)

Shit.

How am I supposed to say no to that?

"Sure." I take a deep breath, grabbing my phone. I pull up the Karaoke version of Bea Miller's 'i can't breathe'.

(START SONG HERE)

Somebody get me a hammer

Wanna break all the clocks and the mirrors

And go back to a time that was different

A time when

I didn't feel like there was something missing

Now my body and mind are so distant

Don't know how to escape from this prison

I slip away. Falling into the music.

How can I free my mind?

Cause I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

Ooh, ooh, ooh

I can't breathe

How can I live in the moment

When my thoughts never feel like my own and

Don't know how to admit that I'm broke

How can I be alright?

Cause I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

Ooh, ooh, ooh

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

I can't breathe

...

The applause pulls me back. I blink, seeing the audience. People are tearing up. The little girl isn't in the crowd anymore. She's sitting on Millie's lap, grinning.

"Nice job, Ava." Millie praises.

"Ava?" The little girl nods. "Millie's kid sister?" She nods again. I look at Millie. "You set that up, didn't you?"

"Guilty." She admits, smiling ear-to-ear.

"You are so getting it later." I smile.

"I'm so scared." She remarks. I roll my eyes and turn to Ava.

"And you," I say, Ava looks horrified. I open my arms for a hug. "Come here, you little monster." I laugh. She giggles, hops off of Millie, and runs to me.

I hear a chorus of "Awww"s  in the crowd. I almost forgot I'm in public.

I put Ava on my lap. She smiles.

"Who else was in on this?" A whisper to her.

"Almost everyone. Just not Finn." She told me.

"I thought so." I smiled. "Will you help me get back at them?" I ask. She grins and nods. I give her a high-five.

"Okay, Questions for Abbie and Finn are now closed." Ross anouncess.

Finn looks at me, smiling. "I'll help too." He whispers, and winks.

I blush, looking back at Ava, I say, "Do you have a phone, Baby girl?"

"Yes." She nods.

"Okay. Give me your number, and we can plot our revenge." I wiggle my eyebrows and she lets loose a very child-like laugh.

We exchange numbers, I input her as 'Little monster', and I notice Finn staring at me.

"Yes?" I ask. He blushes. He actually blushes.

"Uh, nothing. You're just, really great with kids." He stammers.

"You should see me with animals." I say under my breath.

"I look forward to it." He smirks.

I blush.

Shit. I guess it wasn't  that much under my breath.

"....Abi listen to your music?" I turn my attention back to the crowd at the sound of my name.

Maya turns and grins at me. "I think I'd have to ask her. Abi?" I blush.

"I, uh, yeah. I do." I stutter.

"what do you think of it?" The person from the crowd asks.

"Well," I start, looking at Maya. "I love Maya's music. It has real meaning. And she has this velete voice that ties it all together. Her music is the kind that make you sway back-and-forth without thinking. Her music, and I can't lie, Finn, Gaten, Joe and Charlie's, has really helped me through the last few years. If I'm being completely honest, all music has made a huge impact in my life. Without it, I-" I felt myself tearing up. Don't cry. PLEASE DON'T CRY.   I clear my throat, hoping that will make the water works retreat. "I don't think I'd be alive right now."

Ava, who is still on my lap, turns and hugs me. "But you are, that's what matters." She tells me.

"You're, like, 7. how are you so smart?" I ask. She shrugs her little shoulders.
