Emerald
We take off running. Rose told us she found A note in her room. We run in and she throws the note to me. It reads,
Oh no poor little Rachel away where she belongs . She should of let that bitch of a sister die! No one loves her and now I'm going to kill Emerald myself. But before that I'm going to kill Rachel. Come and find her before it's to late.
She will be waiting in a place where no one can see, Branchy if I do say so myself.
I drop the letter on the floor. My eyes sting with water.
"The- The forest! She is in the forest!" I yell running out of the dorm. I run out of the common room then I run down the stairs and I keep bumping into people. "Sorry!" "Sorry!" I finally make it to the Great hall. I run into it and to the nearest door I can fount.and out of the castle with everyone behind me. I run along the Quittage field. I hear Draco yelling for me to stop.
"Wait! You and the forest have not gotten along before! She could be in there!" He yells. I don't listen and keep running but he jumps in front of me.
"Please- please let me go. She is like a sister to me I can't let her die, she saved my life-"
"What do you mean She saved your life?"
"Uh uh-"
"Emerald what do you mean?!" He screams crying.
"God! We don't have time for this right now!" I yell crying too.
"I'm not losing you Emerald! I'm not! I will not let that happen!" He says hugging me.
"Then come with me" I say pulling away.
He puts his lips to mine. "Ok" he says.
I grab his hand and we make our way into the forest. I look on the floor for anything, footprints, drag marks, skid marks, anything to find her. I look in the trees, maybe a broken branch. Anything!
"Hey baby look!" Draco whisper yells tapping me.
I turn my head to see a shoe. I let go of his hand and walk up to the shoe. It Rachel's shoe. A yellow Low rise conver. I hold the shoe to my chest and let a tear fall down. Draco walks ove to me and hugs me from behind.
"Shh it's ok baby we will find her" He says kissing me. I wipe my tear and we keel walking. We walk and walk until we hear a horrid scream. It's Rachel.
"Rachel?! Rachel where are you?!" I scream running to the sound. I keep running till I see her laying on the ground. Dirty in her blue sundress, dirt in her hair. A knife in her chest. I run to her and pick her up and place her on my lap.
"Rachel? Can you hear me" I say moving her hair out of her face.
She puts on a smile and speaks. "Sing for me. Before I go sing to me"
I pull it together and sing. Her favorite song
"Deep in the meadow, under the willow,
a bed of grass,

and close your sleepy eyes,
and when they open again, the sun will rise.

I can see the life leave her body. With my fingers I gently push her eyes shut. I put her body down and stand up. Draco comes and hugs me and I cry in his arms.
"Sh-she's gone- and all- because oo-o-of me!" I cry.
"Shh baby i know baby" he says stroking my hair.
"We have to go now" he says.
I shake my head. He pulls my arms. I get out of his grip: he pulls me again.
"NO IM NOT LEAVING HER I AM NOT DOING THAT" I scream and fall.
Draco kneels down and lifts my chin up.
"Emerald look at me. I know baby I know this is so hard to do but we have to go. She could still be here. I know you don't want to leave her but we have to go. If you want I can carry her and we can have a funeral and everything. But we need to go."
He gives me a very long kiss and looks deep into my eyes.
"Ok" I say.
I get up and Draco picks up Rachel and we walk out of the forest.
