YOU STEP CAREFULLY over the wet grass, planting your heels on the concrete as you bid good night to Oikawa. From your distance, you can decipher a silhouette on your front lawn, yet you disregard your fight or flight sense to determine it was one of your parents. You make your way along quickly, the breeze that brushed through the late evening wind being too cool for your taste. As you step up the singular stair that split-levels your home from the ground, the figure you saw before isn't so distant. It is in fact, not either of your parents, and instead, the silhouette reveals themself to be "..Kuroo?"

The male whips around at your voice, his face crinkled in anger. You open your mouth to speak again, but you're immediately hushed by him. "Where the hell have you been?!" he starts, his voice strong. "I've been standing out here for two hours. Did you forget our plans?" realization hits you with a truck. The night before, you and Kuroo had made plans to see a movie that had just hit theaters. It's been a couple of days since the two of you properly hung out, and you both felt catching up was due. That was before Oikawa messaged you in the morning with his plans for the day.

You feel awful. You had completely forgotten, and all for the sake of your asshole sugar daddy. Your eyes pan over his frame, his attire formal, topped off with a bouquet of your favorite flowers resting in his hands. Had he—? As if you couldn't feel any worse. You sputter, attempting to collect your words. "I- I'm sorry! I had.. things to take care of" you say, quickly attempting to hide the shopping bags that dug into your flesh. "I had no intention of leaving you out here!"

He scoffs. You were unbelievable. "Come in! I'll make it up to y—" Kuroo immediately cuts you off. "Nah, I'm good. Have fun with your boyfriend." what boyfriend? Raw confusion paints over your face, your eyebrows furrowing — what was he on about?

Oh. You feel a presence emerge behind you, hands sliding over your waist, pulling you into the individual. His chin rests on your shoulder, an arm extending outward, the chain of your purse hanging on his fingers. "Forgot your purse," you curse him in your head. Of all times, he decides now is the time to be helpful. You grimace, your head nodding as you mutter a 'thank you', your eyes never leaving Kuroo. You feel sick.

You snatch the bag immediately, adding it to the collection that litters your arms. The air grew thick, tension rising as you peered at Kuroo with every last bit of sincerity and Oikawa watching you through the ravenette's eyes, a disgusting smirk playing across his features. Oikawa's milking the situation for everything it's worth, enjoying the way your body grows stiff under his touch and the way Kuroo stares the two of you down with anger burning in his eyes. Oikawa tightens the grip of his left hand on your waist, leaning close to your ear, "Make sure you send me pictures of the clothes. Wanna see what I picked out for you," the sentence is teasing, spoken at a volume that barely hits a whisper, his tone solid and sultry.

You squeeze your eyes, hoping that it was all a dream and that you'd awake soon. It wasn't. Reluctantly, you nod, gulping down a ball of air you'd been unknowingly holding. As if things couldn't get any worse, the brunette leans closer to your face, his lips pressing onto your flesh — dangerously close to your lips. You hear Kuroo scoff, your eyes closed in an attempt to escape this encounter. Oikawa removes himself from you, muttering a good night to you and Kuroo before leaving the scene. The silence is deafening.

Kuroo makes his moves to leave, his strides passing you as the soles of his dress shoes hit the ground. You follow after him, your hand reaching out to his bicep, "Tetsu, wait! Let me—"

"No." his voice is cold. "You've wasted my time enough." he turns to face you, his eyes gleaming sadness but his face exuding anger. He still holds the bouquet in his hand, the petals falling limp from his roughness. He takes one last look at you, sucking in a harsh breath, "Goodnight, (n/n)." he ends with the flowers being shoved into your chest, his frame disappearing into the night. You hadn't noticed the tears falling from your eyes until they dripped onto your collarbone. You suck air harshly through your nostrils, huffing a breath through your tight throat.

Perhaps you were wrong. Maybe the agreement wasn't the best decision you made.

"We told you he liked you.. like, years ago." Naoko says through the phone, a 'duh' following. Reina and Hideko murmur agreements, making you sigh, planting down on the mattress. If they were right and Kuroo liked you, that'd only make matters worse. Dealing with Sugarcentral and Oikawa would only prove to be more difficult if he liked you. He'd try to pry and figure out who and what was prioritizing your time. He'd become curious and try to insert himself, which is the last thing you want. "Well, I don't like him! He's like.. the brother I never had,"

Your friends comically hiss, their laughter coming through the phone. "Damn, the brother-zone? That's tough,"

"Guys, I'm being serious! What the hell am I gonna do?" silence befalls the call. You're truly distraught, your eyebrows knitting and skin hot to the touch. You're boiling and bubbling over, tears beginning to form out of stress and frustration. "I.. may have an idea,"

Reina announces, the shuffling of what you assume is her standing from the bed echoing through the phone. "You could tell him about Prettykawa and Sugarcentral..? That way he can support and understand, and you don't have to lie."

"No! Hell no, absolutely not. Telling him would make everything worse. You know how he is," you argue, sitting immediately up. If telling him the truth about your secret second life or continuously lying about it were your only options, you'd rather drink a glass full of bleach. "No, no, no!" you repeatedly chant, standing up from your bed.

You chew on your lip. This is quite the unpleasant situation, and you wish it to be over away. "No, fuck that."

"I'll figure something out."
