Ourania grumpily sat on the living room with her luggage ready, waiting for Alessandro to pick her up. The man called her early in the morning to let her know that he was on his way to her parents Manor, she begrudgingly took a shower and get everything ready before he arrives. She look at her wrist watch, five more minutes and he'll be here. As much as she wants to say that she really hates the idea, she is in fact happy and excited to get back to her once home for three years. It's where she can really be herself and do whatever she wants with no one reminding her it's not proper lady like and all that, twenty two years of her mother controlling their movements was enough. She thought, it would be easier to deal with Alessandro than her mother.
She immediately stand up when she heard the door open and their butler greeting Alessandro, her heart beating quite rapidly. He immediately smile when he saw her and slide his hand against hers before kissing her cheek softly, she close her eyes for a brief moment and then slowly open them. She look ahead and saw Thalassa looking at her with envy, Ourania gave her her sweetest smile.
"Ready?" He ask and she nodded in response. They walk out hand in hand, Alessandro not giving Thalassa any attention and just wanted to bring his wife back home. On their way back, Ourania kept quiet and stare at the window, reminiscing how she enjoys looking at the old Victorian buildings they always passed by.
They arrived not long after and now, she is again standing in front of another manor she loved dearly. She followed Alessandro inside, surprise to see their housekeeper, cook and housemaid waiting for her with a smile on their faces. She immediately hug them one by one before they lead her towards the dinning room, filled with all her favourite cuisines.
"Oh you guys, you didn't have to do this, but thank you." She said and sit on her usual spot. Alessandro came in and look at her, finally feeling at ease having her back.
"I need to go to my office, I'll see you tonight." He said and was about to kiss her when she immediately stood up and step away from him.
"Listen here Mr. Bianchi, just because I came back here with you doesn't mean that you and I are back together." She said, taking another step back when he advance at her. "And that means, no touching and kissing, no everything. I'd also like to have my own room and far away from yours if possible." She look away from Alessandro who's looking at her intently and she also notice the three ladies getting pale.
"So you'll stay?" Alessandro ask in a surprisingly calm voice, Ourania look at him then nodded. "Then deal. Mrs. Callisto, please prepare the last room down the corridor on the first floor for Ourania. I'll see you tonight." And with that he was gone, leaving Ourania confused. Was that it?
'What, you expect him to actually disagree with your conditions? You shouldn't have suggested it then, chazi gynaika.' (Trans: Stupid woman.) Her subconscious said. Their housekeeper, Mrs. Callisto already went out of the kitchen to do the task she was asked to. Ourania sat back down, not feeling too hungry anymore. What is wrong with her? She should be happy.
"How have you been Mrs. Bianchi?" Mrs. White ask, it's definitely been a long time since someone called her that.
Mrs. Bianchi.
"I'm doing fine, how about you guys?" She ask, choosing to eat chicken macaroni salad. She look at Mrs. White and Cindy, who glance at each other, contemplating if they should tell her or not, but the later choose to say the truth.
"Ever since that day you left, everything was not the same anymore." She started, sighing remembering that very day.
Alessandro pushed Thalassa off of him, wiping his mouth in disgust before stepping out of his office, just in time for the elevator door to closed completely. His secretary is not yet back from getting some files in the HR department, so he uses the telephone on her table to call the reception.
