I woke up in the camper hearing Zelie singing outside. I crawled out and she was making eggs.
"Good morning sleepy head."
"Hey, we hiking today?"
"Hell yes."
We ate and I quickly pulled my summer clothes. As I changed, Zelie walked out in a bralette. She's always been a bold dresser, and definitely had the body and attitude for it.
"Let's go take some photos by the hidden waterfall."
We walked up there, leaving the trail. Knowing it was for the best.
"Let's hope we don't run into some hillbillies."
"What you don't want to mingle with smelly men? Who don't understand common things? Why not?"
Zelie sarcastically giggled out and we linked arms. Hearing the waterfall in the distance.
"Let's hope the hillbillies aren't bathing at this time. Hoping to destank."
Zelie laughed out and we heard men laughter in the distance.
"Where'd that come from?"
"I dunno Zelie, probably the trail."
She nodded and we got to the falls.
"Good no one has found it and ruined it."
I took my shirt off along with my shorts.
"Best swimming spot around."
I screamed jumping off the cliff. I hit the water and let the rush of cold hit me.
"Come on Zelie, it's so nice!"
I back stroked and heard her hit the water.
"Oh my freezing cold."
"It's nice after that hike."
I swam closer to shore and heard whistling.
"Hello?"
"What's wrong Til?"
"I heard whistling."
"It's fine, let's take some pics."
We began our photo shoot, finding flowers to hold and float in the water. Another whistle sounded closer, even Zelie heard it this time.
"Zelie, maybe we should head back."
"Yeah."
She said quickly and we ran up the side of the waterfall to retrieve our clothes. Once we got to them we slipped them on quickly, only to hear four wheelers.
"Stupid fucking Hicks, come on. We'll be safer at camp."
We ran through the forest barefoot, I didn't even flinch I wanted to get out. When the four wheelers got closer, Zelie grabbed my hand so we could run faster. We reached the trail only to hear the four wheelers turn and go off into the distance. We laid in the ground out of breath, needing to catch it before we stood up again.
"Zelie...."
"I know..."
"Are we... safe?"
I asked between breathes and she looked at me.
"I think so, they wouldn't come out to the campsite."
I nodded and she started a fire so we could have hot dogs for a lunch.
"We ran more than 3 miles back here Tillie."
"What?"
"Adrenaline is a crazy thing."
I nodded and heard a branch break. I jumped up, then saw a bunny jump out.
"We're gonna be jumpy aye?"
I giggled and I sat back down.
"I need a nap."
"Honestly same though, that stress got me all sorts of tired."
Zelie yawned out and I nodded yawning soon after.
"I'm gonna go to the bath house to shower and change, get some rest Zelie."
She nodded and I walked to bathhouse. Washing everything away that happened before, good thing we have a super secluded campsite. I braided my hair and turned the water off. Changing into a white tee shirt and shorts. I headed back to camp site and our camper door was open.
"Zelie? Get hot or something?"
I poked my head in the camper, but no sister. I stepped out felling my heart in my ears.
"Zelie? Zelie Elizabeth? Please don't be pranking me! Zelie!"
I felt my eyes water and I walked into the woods pleading for an answer. Then I heard a four wheeler start, I followed it. Only to see my sister hog tied beside it with a head injury.
"Zelie, Z please wake up. Z, please."
I felt myself cry and I began fiddling with the rope on her wrists.
"Zelie please sis. Wake up."
A branch broke behind me and I jumped.
"What's you do?"
I screamed and stood, but saw no one. I fell to the ground, and tried untying faster.
"Zelie just wake up!"
I sobbed out and heard the leaves crunch beside me. I looked up to see bright blue eyes peak through a scarf.
"Please don't hurt her."
He looked up and footsteps came behind me, I felt tears drop down my cheeks. The man with the blue eyes crouched next to me and looked at Zelie, then grabbed my hand. Putting it on her chest, her heart beat.
"What's you do to her?"
I cried out and felt a cloth get put on my face. I tried to push away, but the man was to strong. I sobbed and felt my mind get foggy. Then I went limp.

RomanceIt was supposed to be a normal camping weekend. Out in the open, and off the grid. I didn't expect to be taken by southerners.
