Ezra gave me medicine after we all ate and picked me back up.
"Are you allergic to anything?"
"Neosporin."
"Fuck, that's why you feel bad. I rubbed that on your wound."
I nodded and he set me in his lap, back on the couch.
"Boys, how was your day?"
A southern women asked, covered in mud.
"Good momma, and yours?"
"Go some fruits and berries, so I'm going to make pie."
Jayce grabbed Zelie's hair harshly out of no where and she screamed.
"How come you can't keep her in line like Ezra is doing J?"
"Tillie has an allergic reaction going on and feel bad. Zelie on the other hand is sassy and needs it beat out of her."
Ezra tightened his grip on me, knowing I'd want to get up and intervene.
"Stick her in the shed Jayce."
I saw Jayce smile and pull my sister from the house. I tried to sit up, but Ezra kept me still.
"No, he's gonna hurt her. The worst that'll happen in there is she'll get cold, plus she's been a handful and a half."
I felt myself get sad my sister was alone, then Ezra stood again. Still holding me, and he walked us past his bedroom.
"Where're we going?"
I said lightly but didn't get an answer. Only was set down and heard a door lock. I jumped, waking up rather quickly.
"Now that your sister isn't going to throw a tantrum. Go sit with your chest facing the back of the chair."
"Ezra, no please."
"If I force you there it'll be worse."
I slowly walked over, straddling the chair. Then heard him take his belt off, forcing me to turn.
"Look forward."
I shook and he took the belt, wrapping it around my wrists. Securing then to where I was trapped in the chair.
"What's happening?"
I stuttered out but got no answer, forcing my fear to grow.
"Ezra... where'd you go?"
I whimpered and felt his shirt get lift from my back.
"I'll only do three, but you can't cuss or say anything."
"Three what?"
"Shhhh."
Is all he said before a fire feeling erupted on my back, forcing me to scream. He did two in a row and I sobbed at the force.
"It's over, no more running."
I kept sobbing against the chair as he undid his belt from my wrists. He picked me up carefully taking me back to the bedroom, laying me down.
"I have to go hunt tonight, don't leave or you'll wish that's as far as my punishments go."
I nodded and got covered in a weighted blanket, left to my thoughts. Only to hear their mother speak.
"You trust her?"
"I think she's too afraid to defy me this soon. So come hunt with us, her sisters locked up. She's hurting, it'll be fine."
"If you say so Ez."
I heard them walk out, and I waited over half an hour for any sounds. I stood, feeling my back ache but I knew I had to get out. I quickly walked out of the house, seeing the truck parked made hope fill my body. I quickly ran to it, stupid hicks left their keys in the truck.
I started the car and began down a man made path.
"Funny of you to think you'd get away baby girl."
I slammed on the breaks and my hair was grabbed.
"Park the car, turn it off."
He whispered, and I listened not knowing what else to do.
"Get in the passenger seat, and put your seat belt on."
I did as he asked and he hopped out from the bench seat. Getting in the drivers seat.
"You're bleeding Tillie."
He said with fear in his voice, then drove like a mad man back to the house. He lifted me from the car, taking me back to his bedroom. Forcing me to stand in the center of the room, and he took the shirt off me before I could defy. I covered my breasts and felt a wet rag on my back.
"Tillie. Why?"
"I don't want to be here."
I whispered and felt him wrap his hand gently around me neck.
"I don't remember giving you a choice baby girl, so stop trying to run."
He whispered harshly and let go, continuing to clean my back.
"Ezra.... you were right."
"I know."
"Damn brother, pretty little back she got there."
"I know, she made it bleed though. Tillie, go lay in bed under the covers."
"It'll hurt though."
"Then sit on your knees right here, now."
He said pushing my shoulder down, forcing me to the floor. As I covered my chest, the truck started again.
"Oh she's fucked."
Jayce chuckled out and they ran out the room. I stayed on the ground, afraid if I were to move. Then Zelie's screams in agony filled the house, I stayed still. I knew I'd be in deep shit if I moved.
"Baby girl, come here."
I stood, still covering my body.
"Let me wrap your torso."
"Is Zelie okay?"
"No, that's why I need to wrap you up, get clothes on you, and have you keep her calm."
I turned away and he ran his finger down my neck to the middle of my chest, stepping closer to me.
"Put your arms out to make a 'T' baby girl."
"But..."
"If you really think I'm going to grope you, you're wrong. Just listen so we can fix your sister."
I slowly and shakily put my arms out. He wrapped my torso, being carful on all the wounds he caused.
"I need to tape it down, so it'll be a-little tighter for a second."
He did so and pushed my arms up, sliding a shirt over me. Making me look like a toddler.
"Come on love, let's go help your sister."
He took my hand, leading me to a smaller living room. Where my sister had been tied down.
"Zelie stop moving before you rip your arm off!"
Jayce screamed and I quickly walked to her, touching her face.
"What's you do Zel?"
"She got to the truck, but broke her arm on the process of escaping the shed."
I saw her arm and turned away from her.
"Tillie, love it's okay. We just have to set it."
Ezra said lightly.
"Baby sis, just get out."
She screamed and struggled more.
"Tillie, I need to knock her out."
Jayce said and I nodded, turning away.
"Tillie don't you dare let them..."
I walked to the door, standing away. Then hearing the commotion stop.
"Sweetheart, she's asleep. Come here for me."
I turned and her arm looked worse when she wasn't squirming.
"Ezra, I can't."
I whispered and turned.
"Hey, I just need you here when she wakes up."
"Her arm looks awful."
I whispered and Ezra kissed my forehead.
"Just make sure her fever isn't to high and that she doesn't move to much."
Jayce whispered and untied her arm, then handed me a cold rag. Then I heard him set the bone and my stomach turned.
"Tillie, take a couple deep breaths. Its okay."
Jayce whispered and I focused on my sister, trying to keep her cool."
"Tillie, take the pants off her."
"What?"
"She's getting to warm, remover her pants please."
Jayce whispered nicely, and I heard another pop of her arm setting. I took a deep breath and Ezra began wrapping her arm. I got her sweatpants on and another crack sounded. Forcing me to run to the bathroom, throwing up my dinner.
"Tillie, Ezra is still wrapping her arm. You okay?"
"The sound of her arm makes me feel sick."
"That's okay, just gather yourself and come back when you're ready."
I nodded and flushed the toilet, going to the sink. I ran cold water on my face, and took a breath. Only to feel a hand touch my shoulder.
"You okay baby girl?"
"I've been better."
"She's okay now, I'll grab you some water. She needs you there though."
"Okay."
I followed him to the room, then sat beside her.
"You okay Tillie?"
"I think so."
"Just be here when she wakes, she needs to wake up calm. I don't want her breaking it further."
I nodded and sat beside her, and he tied her up again.
"Why the restraints?"
"She's not going to wake up calmly, I also don't want you two running."
"I don't think I could if I wanted too."
"Why?"
"Don't want to bleed out, or her to get severely hurt."
Ezra set water in my hand, and I drank half of it.
"Why does it have a funny taste?"
"Since I can't put medicine directly on wounds, there's antibiotics in the water to help."
I nodded and watched Zelie wake up.
"Zel, it's me. You're okay, you need to stay calm. You broke your arm and the men fixed it."
"Til let me leave, help me."
She whined and I touched her cheek.
"Zelie, we can't leave while we're injured."
I watched her cry and saw Jayce tap a cold wash cloth on her forehead.
"Tillie get them to let me go."
"You'll hurt yourself Zel, I know you will."
"Tillie, why're you on their side?"
"I'm not, I just can't listen to them reset your bones ever again."
She lunged at me, forcing me to fall back. She struggled and screamed like a psychic ward patient.
"Sweetheart, let's go to bed."
Ezra said, picking me up from the floor.
"Holler if you need me Jay."
"I will."
I was laid in a bed and felt myself tear up.
"Hey she's medicated from how we sedated her. She doesn't mean any of it, it's okay."
"I don't want to sleep Ez."
I whispered and sat on the side of the bed, only for him to sit next to me.
"I need to tie you to the bed if you don't sleep, I cannot trust you to stay in here."
"Ez..."
"Tillie you just tried to run away, you know you're getting tied up anyways."
He put a rope on my wrist, tying me to the bed frame.
"You can sit up or lay down over here, if you change your mind while I sleep it's okay."
"Can I sit up for now?"
"Of course, now I'm going to sleep. If Jayce calls or you need something just wake me up."
I nodded and he laid behind me, getting comfortable to sleep. I need a plan to get the hell out of here.
