Practice came early that day. Well it wasn't technically early, but after her fiasco with her third-year boys the day went by much quicker than anticipated.
Naga was in the girls locker room changing into her practice clothing. Today was her practice day with the team. She was set on making them work on their receiving whether they liked it or not.
Sliding on her short black shorts, an orange tank top that accentuated her B-bust, and throwing her hair up into a sloppy high pony-tail, Naga made her way out of the locker room. Eyes snapped her way as she exited the room. She knew she had an affect on boys and girls alike, her muscular figure working wonders in her practice uniform. Though she really didn't mind, and often times she embraced it. If anything Naga would go out of her way to have people look at her. She loved it. She felt empowered, knowing that she could probably have anyone she wanted bending to her will if she wanted.
Not that she would.
Throwing her classic smirk on her face, she raised an arm in a wave. Although it hasn't been long, it took Naga mere days to befriend most of the Karasuno boys team. Her outgoing and cocky personality resonated well with Nishinoya and Tanaka especially. It also didn't help that those two had their eyes set on her and followed her around like the lost puppies they were.
"Noya-kun!~" Naga cooed, distracting the boy as he was about to receive a serve from Asahi. Earning a quick ball to the stomach and making him double over, gasping for breath. She let out a bursting wheeze that turned into a laughing fit. Knowing exactly what was going to happen the second she called his name.
"Kaminaga! That's mean..." Noya cried, clutching his stomach but his eyes were full of laughter.
"Hey, maybe you should pay attention next time." She tsk'd and chuckled, walking over to the shorter boy on the ground and lending him a hand. Hoisting him up, he flashed her a wink that she just shook her head at and turned away. Her eyes scored over the team until she landed on Daichi.
"Dumb-chi!" She yelled, skipping over with a swing in her step. She punched his shoulder when she got over to him.
"Kami, Naga, you're such a bruh-girl." Daichi scoffed and ruffled her hair.
"What did you just call me-."
"Alright team, gather round!" He effectively cut her off, earning a deathly glare once more. The boys gathered around, some sitting, some standing. "We're working on receiving today. Naga-chan will be running this practice so I'll let her take it from here."
Clucking her tongue, she smiled 'sweetly' at Daichi for handing her the reigns. Though it certainly came out more like a grimace. "Alrighty!" Clasping her hands together, she turned and started to explain todays regimen.
10 receives. Each.
Now that doesn't sound too bad. Unless you remember that Naga was a star ace for a reason. Her serves were legendary and were compared to that on a national level. Her spikes were up on par with her serves as well. Some called her 'Ushijima's Twin' back at Shiratorizawa when referring to her style. She was ambidextrous though. Something that just added to her arsenal of schemes.
And she was nothing like Wakatoshi-kun.
Over an hour later and a stinging hand, Naga finally called it quits for practice that day. She didn't want to pummel the poor team too bad. They still had practice tomorrow and not to mention their upcoming Month-Long Summer Training Camp that they would be heading to next week Monday when break started.
Training Camp. Her mind buzzed with the thought. She would be going of course since she was one of their managers after all. Though she knew that she would end up participating much more than what Kiyoko-chan and Yachi-chan would. The camp itself was one that was highly anticipated as the Fukurodani Academy Group held it every year, and this year Karasuno was invited to join. Although news already fluttered around that only Nekoma and Fukurodani themselves would be participating, which was also one of the main reasons why Karasuno was invited to join due to the lack of teams. Another school was set to come as well to fill in the missing spots that Shinzen and Ubugawa would otherwise occupy. Though she didn't know which school it was yet.
"I guess that'll be a mystery yet to uncover itself." She spoke aloud to herself, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
"What're you thinking about Naga-chan?" Hinata appeared at her side, nearly scaring the daylights out of her. She almost didn't see him in her line of sight while she was zoned out.
"Just about the training camp."
"Why?"
"Nothing really, I'm just curious about how it'll go that's all. We will be there for almost over a month, that's a long time." Naga explained, raising her arms over her head in an attempt to stretch her shoulders.
Hinata seemed lost in thought for a second before he nodded in agreement. "This will be the first time you're meeting the other boy teams, yeah?"
Naga never really thought about that before but Hinata was right. "Yeah. I guess it is, isn't it?" Letting her arms fall back to her sides, she slapped her cheeks slightly, clearing her head. "I'll see you tomorrow then Hinata." She smiled as she walked away, waving. Collecting up her things, she headed back into the locker room, quickly changing then leaving the building. Daichi was waiting outside for her when she walked through the doors.
She sent him a kind smile, one that was much nicer than the others she had sent him earlier in the day. Her and Daichi were definitely the closest on the team. Besides her and Noya of course. She looked to him like the brother she never had. Even though she did have a brother but that's not the point.
Slowing her steps, she fell into a steady rhythm besides the taller boy. "Say Daichi-kun. You think the dweebs know that they need to pass their tests to go to the training camp?"
Her question made Daichi let out a low, rumbling but tired chuckle. "I think you answered your own question with that one."
Shaking her head, Naga smirked and stuffed her hands into her pockets. "I guess we should tell them tomorrow sometime, yeah? Tests are on Friday so that'll give them a day to freak out about it."
"Sounds like a plan."
They continued in a comfortable silence until Daichi broke it. "Y'know Kaminaga. I'm glad you came around and decided to join us."
Taken slightly aback, her footsteps faltered before she recovered herself like it didn't phase her. "I'm glad I did to." She looked up to the darkened sky for a moment before looking at Daichi who was already staring at her. "I don't know what I'd do without you guys."
A warm smile formed on his face before he looked away, concentrating on something else.
"I'll see you later Daichi." Naga snapped him out of his trance and he looked back towards her.
"Have a good night, Kaminaga."
The smile she shot him after he called her by her nickname made his heart flutter ever so slightly.
