Naga's stomach was bubbling with laughter. Currently she was hanging out around the courtyard with Kuroo, Kenma, and a few other Nekoma players. Lev was making an obscenely comical face that was copying Kenma's game-focused one. The short setter had looked up for just a second, realizing what Lev was doing, and absolutely laid him out on the ground with a kick to the back of his legs.
The whole situation made Naga become a mess on the ground, gripping her stomach as Kuroo stood hunched-over next to her. Hyena laugh ripping into the air. A hilarious idea drifted into her thoughts. Mid-laughter, Naga peeked an eye open and with the positioning she was in, kicked out one of her legs and swept out the Nekoma's captains' from under him. He fell to the ground, landing on his ass.
If it was even possible to laugh harder, the whole group around them was certainly doing it. Yamamoto was laughing so hard he was crying. Lev was crying for a whole other reason but his laughter still burst through the pain. Yaku was chuckling and gasping for breath, tears pricking his eyes. Kenma, glancing up from his game, let out a shallow laugh as well over the captains pain.
Kuroo on the other hand wasn't all that amused. Laughter still escaped his lips but a completely malicious and scheming glint crossed his eyes.
"Play with the tiger and you're going to get hurt, Kiroji."
The captain was swift. He reached over a foot to where 'Kiroji' was on the ground still and grasped the other boys ankle. Dragging him forward. Quickly standing, he took his opposite arm and swiftly lifted him off the ground with ease. Making it seem like Naga weighted almost nothing when in reality she was at least a hundred and forty pounds of pure muscle.
She thrashed at her position over his shoulder, pounding on his back but not really making a huge effort to get out of his grasps. Her face bloomed in a hidden blush as she clutched the back of his shirt, her face buried in his heavily muscled back. Kuroo's eyes scanned the courtyard and landed on a fountain not too far away. Hoots and hollering from the other laughing boys was heard behind her as Kuroo took long and quick strides towards the fountain.
Panic lit within her body and her heart beat even faster than it already was. If she was dunked in the water, her shirt would hug her frame and they would be able to tell her secret. Starting to freak out a bit, she hit Kuroo's back harder.
"W-Wait! Kuroo! Hang on just-!"
"Ah-Ah." He tsk'd, "The little kitten wants to play rough but then gets scared when things get tough? I don't think so. You're not getting out of this Kiroji." His purposeful rhyming made himself laugh a wicked laugh. In all truth, he didn't plan on dunking the boy. But what isn't fun about giving someone a little taste of their own medicine?
Finally reaching the fountain, he leaned over it, fully prepared to drop 'Kiroji' in. "P-Please! Kuroo please don't." Tears involuntarily brimmed at her eyes. The captain faltered at this, completely perplexed. What was he so scared of? Water? Confusion was written over his face, but what confused him even more was the curvature of 'Kiroji's' body. He currently had his arms hugging is body in an almost bridal-like style. About to sway his in a way that would absolutely soak the boy if he threw him.
Kuroo was dumbfounded. He knew he wasn't gay. He'd gone as far as to ask Bokuto to kiss him once when they were drunk just to see if he felt anything for guys and he didn't. So what was so different about this third year?
A sparkle of thought burst into his mind. What if...? No. There's no way. Kuroo's eyes widened at this and he froze as he felt his hand rub over something across the other boys back. 'Kiroji' took advantage of this and pushed out of his grasp with an elbow to the stomach. She landed clumsily on the ground and stood before him, forcing a snicker to make it seem like she wasn't as equally freaked out.
Quickly shielding his thoughts off his face, Naga noticed it was almost as if a wall slammed down in front of his eyes. A scheming smirk played his lips again as he forced his body to relax and gave 'Kiroji' a playful shove on the shoulder.
"I wasn't actually going to dunk you, idiot."
"How was I supposed to know that!"
Kuroo feinted innocence, putting his hand on his heart and slumping over slightly like he was hurt. "You dare think something so horrible of me?"
"I barely even know you, how am I supposed to know you're not some psychotic killer?" Naga snorted in reply, folder her arms and jokingly glared at him.
"You don't, and that's the fun part about it." She burst out laughing for what felt like the hundredth time today at the statement.
"Heh, I can totally see you having some yandere side or something."
"H-Hey!" Kuroo seemed to actually take some offense to this as he pointed an accusing finger at her.
"Keep pointing that at me and i'll bite it off."
The captain simply rolled his eyes and cut his losses. He was too tired and too confused to continue any forced argument he was trying to have to play off the situation as normal. His brain was going a thousand miles a minute at this point. Taking in every little thing about Kiroji that he could.
He stayed near the boy as their joking calmed down and the group headed back indoors. The sun had gone down at that point long ago and most of the team was already in their room.
He couldn't help but keep side-glancing the boy besides him as they walked. No wonder he thought something was up from the very minute he laid eyes on 'Kiroji'. If that's what he should even call the other person.
He needed proof. Somehow. All the dots connected to the fact that Kiroji was a girl.
How could he prove it though? He didn't want to do anything indecent. As much as he wouldn't mind. But how else would he unless 'Kiroji' told him to his face? He could play the long game and just see if anyone else finds out before him. Or maybe he's just freaking out over nothing and is totally loosing it with these theories, who knows.
Shaking his head as they enter their shared room with the rest of Karasuno, he felt a few pair of eyes land on them as they walked in. Namely Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, Nishinoya, and Tanaka. Daichi's felt like two lasers aimed directly at his head.
If she really is a girl, Karasuno would know i'd assume. It's probably why that stubborn moron is staring at me so heavily. No doubt he told her to stay away from me, Daichi knows better than to risk me knowing.
His thoughts ran cold as he made it to his spot, 'Kiroji' still besides him. He looked at 'Kiroji' with a confused but raised eyebrow when he was suddenly struck with realization.
"Looks like we're not only matching outfits, but mat placement as well huh, Kiroji." A sly grin graced his features while keeping eye contact with the panicked person standing near him. Nearly the entirety of Karasuno's teams' eyes bore into his back.
