(Y/N) POV
I'm heading to my dorm and immediately throw myself to my bed. I look around thinking, about everything. I see my board thrown on the floor from the corner of my eye upside-down. It's a little old and scratched but that's what makes me like it. Sometimes when I'm happy I used to draw small hearts in the back with whatever I could find. I grab my board and start looking at all of the faded small hearts around, and see something not so familiar. In the corner of the board I see a small writing an di was sure it wasn't me. I look closely to read it. And in a black marker I read
"𝓶𝓪𝔁 𝔀𝓪𝓼 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮"
I was so confused but it still made me smile. I didn't want that to fade away.
"Hi (Y/N)..." I hear (B/F/N) walk in.
"oh hi (B/F/N)"
"I'm okay, I just feel kinda tired I guess" I respond
"Peej and Bobby invited us next door to watch a movie and maybe some popcorn, they also said that max probably stormed off to a quiet place or the bean scene... " she says
"uh, no thanks, not today I think I'm just gonna stay here. Tell them thanks for the invitation though" I respond
She nods, she looks at the board that was on my lap and also reads the small letters max wrote, she smiles a little and looks at me. She stands up and goes out of the door.
I lay down and drift off to sleep without noticing.
(MAX'S POV)
'What did I do. I ruined it.' I think to myself. I found this small bench kind of hidden around some plants and bushes, I've never seen it, and no one was there. It was quite quiet, I enjoyed it. I was there for probably 15 minutes before getting hungry. So I got up and started walking to my dorm, maybe the guys had ordered some pizza or something.
~small time skip ~
I got to the dorm and tried to open it but it was locked. I knocked on the door waiting for the guys to open but no one did. I could still hear the TV and whispering voices tho.
"Come on guys, this is not funny, open up" I say.
I see a small piece of paper slide down the door. saying 'not until you apologize'
"okay okay, look guys I'm sorry, I'm a jerk for saying stupid stuff and getting us bad scores from the judges, now can you guys please open up" I say
Then another paper slides out, this one saying 'not to us you dork' and a small arrow pointing to my left. I knew what they meant, but I didn't want to apologize to (Y/N), I was too scared.
"Come on guys but I'm hungry" I say trying to make them feel bad.
Then they slide ANOTHER paper with a couple of bucks saying 'order something' ugh. I guess I had no option.
I slowly walk to the room next door and knock.
She takes a while, but the door starts to open slowly. She looks like she just woke up, she was probably sleeping and I just woke her up.
"uh, hi (Y/N).." I say
"hi max.." she responds
"look, I just wanted to say I'm sorry and i-"
"no max, save your apology, you were right, I'm too positive and annoying and, an apology can't change that" she interrupts me
"no but i-"
"I guess I can just give Bradley, or the jaguars a chance" she interrupts me again.
"another team?" I say
she looks at me and just shuts the door.
God I really made a mess this time.
I sit down in the hallway, my back in the door.
"(Y/N)... I don't know if you can hear me... but if you can. I'm sorry. I really am. The things I said about you aren't true. You're not "too positive" or "annoying" or any of that. I don't know what got into me but I realized I made a mistake. And I don't want us to be like this. You're Perfect (Y/N). And I don't think anything else but that about you. I really hope you can forgive me." I say hoping she heard me.
I feel the door starting to open slowly as I fall backwards. I quickly stand up and see her.
" I really am sorry (Y/N)" I say to her
"you mean that?" she says
"I do, I really do...please forgive me"
"how could I not..." she says starting to smile
I smile back at her and give her a hug.
"How about we ditch the guys and you follow me" I tell her pulling her out of the room.. I have a good idea
"oh wait grab your board" I tell her
She looks confused but goes back and grabs it.
I took her to the ramps again. But this time not to specifically practice, just to have fun.
It was late at night so we didn't see anyone there. We were the only ones. So it was a lot of fun.
A while after we were kind of tired so we went to get some pizza. We were walking around campus looking for a place to sit down to eat. When we pass the library and see an open window.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking..." I ask her
"Max no! this is a bad idea we could get caugh-"
I interrupted her by pulling her hand. I help her jump in the window, and I jump in with her. We're walking around and find some pillows from the lounge section and take them to the middle of two Shelfs. We get comfortable and start eating.
"Max, what if we get caught?" she asks me laughing.
"We won't, everything is gonna be fine."
A while passes by and we're just sitting there talking. We suddenly hear a noise from the entrance and stand up peeking to see what's making the noise. We look front eh corner of a shelf and see a guard pointing a flashlight at us.
" Hey who's there!" he yells
We look at each other in fright. I grab her hand and run. We start running around the library, the guard was too slow to catch us and we jump out of the window running waiting for him not to run after us.
We look back as we're running and see he's not behind us. We stop to catch a breath. and start laughing like crazy. It wasn't even funny, we were jsut having a great time together. I think I really like her.
~small time skip~
We got back to her dorm and sit down on the beds to rest for a while before I leave.
"Hey max, I had loads of fun tonight. The most I've had in a while to be honest haha. Thanks.. " She says to me
"Well the only reason it was so fun is because you were there" I respond chuckling
...
"I should get going" I say
"yeah, yeah I can go with you if you want" she says
"Yeah that'd be cool" I respond
We're walking out and stop at my door.
"Thanks for not still being mad at me for being a jerk" I tell her.
"It's fine, really... Besides I could never stay mad at you..." she says
We stare at each other for a solid 10 seconds. Each one getting closer and closer.
And right when we're about to-
"Okay bye guys-" We hear (B/F/N) come out of the door.
"Oh.god I am so sorry guys I didn't know you were here" says (B/F/N)
"Nono don't worry I was just leaving" I say going into the door.
"Goodnight Max.." Says (Y/N)
"Goodnight skater girl" I respond closing the door.
