The Mark Of Cain

5 years later

        Ever since Sam had gotten the Mark of Cain removed from Dean's arm and then said yes to Lucifer, the world has went to shit. Many humans were dead, alone with the war. Soo many things has changed and the demons end game was croatoan virus. It is deadly and unstoppable.

Dean and Cas stucked together and continued to fight. They began to search for the horsemens rings to hopefully unlock Lucifer's cage and shove him back in. Sammy was gone, Dean knew this. He knew his brother had given up and died to save and protect him.

        Cas was now human once again, it bothered him some that he wasn't what he used to be but he and Dean couldn't find a way to bring back his grace and he didn't want to steal it from other angels. So he made a choice and decided to become human again. Dean had also changed too. He became more cold and distant. He would just go out on hunts and feel nothing, he seemed less human while Cas was a free spirited human being.

Dean sat in the front seat of the inpala and remembered all of the times he and Sammy were together then some image flashed in his mind. It was when he was sent five years into the future and Luficer was possessing Sam. Dean at the time didn't know why Sammy agreed and said yes to Lucifer but now he thought what if the reason was to save him, to get The Mark of Cain off him. Dean reflected on the last five years ever since Sam said yes that night and many things are very simular to that future he once saw. He now thought that if he ran into Lucifer fate would play out the same. 

Dean wanted to find Lucifer now because some part of him wanted to see if it would play out in the same way it did when he got sent to the future. He was very much like his future self he meet and Cas was happy and free spirited like the Cas he meet in that future. Most things were simular but others weren't. Dean kept playing that memory over and over in him head.  

Lucifer (in Sam)- "Sorry, must be painful speaking to me in this shape but it had to be your brother, it had to be."

Dean can remember Sam's body and his voice sounded like but it wasn't Sammy. Sammy was gone like this time and Dean knew that there was no way that Sam still remained in Lucifer this time and could fight his way to the surface. Sammy had given up and Dean had known this.

Lucifer (in Sam)- "Good bye. We'll meet again soon."

Dean played this over in his head. He just said a simular thing when Sammy said yes five years ago, maybe he knew something Dean didn't maybe he knew that the future Dean once saw would end up coming into play once more. Dean didn't know, but he did know that the horsemen rings that he had could open the cage and send his ass back to Hell, that was his mission, his finale mission. To send Lucifer to Hell.

Dean remembered what he said in the future after Lucifer said he would see him again.
Dean- "You better kill me now! Or I swear I'll find a way to kill you and I won't stop!"

Lucifer (in Sam)- "I know you won't. I know you won't say yes to Michael either. And I know you won't kill Sam. Whatever you do you, you'll always end up here. Whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, we will always end up..here. I win, so I win."

Dean- "Your wrong."

Lucifer- "See you in five years Dean."

        Dean played it over and over again. Lucifer had laid it all out for him all that time ago. That was always going to happen. Sam was going to say yes to him and they would always going to end up faceing one another and having him win.

He said what ever choices he make, meaning the choice he made to take on the Mark of Cain changed their paths to where they are now. Also the details he altered. That happened years ago when after he returned from the future and called Sammy back and taking him back as his brother and hunting partner and then allwoing him to say yes and giving Sammy the power to take control of himself and jump into the pit was all Dean altering details, not changing the out come, cause here they were in the sam position they were many years ago. Everything that they have been through was for nothing, none of it mattered none of it. The world was always going to go down the drain and Lucifer was always going to take Sammy with him and Dean was going to be always alone.

Dean shocked his head. Their whole lives and what? They were just some pieces in this big game and they had no free will. Dean didn't want to believe this. Dean knew if it was the last thing he could do it was to try and save Sammy. He didn't know or really believe that it could be possible but he felt as if he should try. He knew Sam was possibly still in there somewhere, trapped in his own mind or something. He thought maybe if he could reach out to his little baby brother that maybe there was still hope left in this crap box of a world.

Dean loved Sam more than anything, more than life it self and he knew he couldn't let Sammy down. It was his job to watch out for him and keep him safe. It was put upon him since their mother was killed when he was four. His only purpose in life was to protect Sammy from the world and himself and right now Sam had made a bad choice and needed saving. Dean started the engine, he was going to find his brother and save him or die trying.
