Douxie x Reader

Chapter 8

"I guess we did," Douxie chuckles. I turn red and bury my face in the cushions.
"It's fine!" Douxie laughs. I emerge from the couch pillows and hug him into me tight.
"I wish we could just stay like this..." I sigh.
"Like what? Like hugging?" he asks.
"No. I mean, I'd love to, but I mean, just this. Just us. Nobody trying to kill us. Nothing to do," and just as I say the last bit, Jim comes running in.
"Uh, Jim-"
"No time to explain! Come now!" he shouts, before running out again.

Time skip

"What's going on!" I say, scanning the room. Claire runs up to me and hugs me, her tears dampening my shirt. I stroke her back and hug her to me.
"It's gonna be alright," I whisper in her ear, "What's happened?"
"It's Toby.." is her silenced reply. My eyes widen and I fall to my knees. Tears pour from my eyes but not once do I blink.
"She's in shock," wow I love putting people in shock dont I... I hear Blinky's voice and feel arms wrap around me before everything turns black.

When I've woken

I flutter open my eyes and I'm in Douxie's lap, wrapped in his arms. When he realises I'm awake, he calls Blinky and AARGH over.
"What happened to Toby.." I mutter, my voice a hushed whisper.
"Wingman.." AARGH mumbles, bowing his head.
"He, uh, he got hit by Bellroc and Skraal freezing his heart and melting his outside," Douxie answers and I begin to cry.
"It's okay, love.." is all he can say in return to my sobs, soaking his shirt.
"Is there any way to help him?" Jim asks, his voice wavering, as he moves towards me and rests his hand on my back.
"Well, a frozen heart is very difficult to treat... we're gonna need a lot of ingredients that are very hard to get a hold of..." Blinky mumbles.
"We'll do it." I state, pulling myself together and wiping my eyes.
"Okay, well... here's a list... and be careful, young princess.." Blinky stutters.
I snatch the list from his hand, "Princess!? What!?" I see Hisirdoux's eyes flick to Blinky, a look of worry and question on his face. I turn to him and poke my finger in his chest, hard as possible.
"Did you know about this!?"
He winces, "Love..."
"No! Do not 'love' me! I'm not gonna stand for this! It's bad enough finding out I'm a freaking wizard, and an old freaking grandma! You could've just told me everything at once!" I shout, stabbing my finger into his chest repeatedly.
"YN, stop..." Jim sighs.
"No you don't get a say in this, with your perfect fairytale relationship!" I turn back to Douxie, "We're supposed to trust each other... that's how relationships work!"
"I do trust you.." Douxie starts.
"But I don't trust you! Who knows what else you're hiding from me! Next thing, you'll tell me I'm Morgana's daughter!"
"Actually..." Blinky starts. Everyone shouts "BLINKY!" in unison.
"You're kidding me!" I scream, at the top of my voice. I storm off. Maybe I'm over reacting, but I don't care.

I slump down and Charm pads over next to me.
"Hey, you're gonna be okay, just let it all out." Charm purrs. I guess familiars really do get their partner, as I collide my head with my knees and cry my eyes out, silently.
