6 left: Me, Michael, Bennett, Sophia, Allison, Ava.
4 gone: Oliver, Liam, Rose, Olivia.
"Everyone go search the entire area! See if a vent is open! They're on the ground and lead to tunnels underneath the area! When they killed Olivia they left it open, i'm hoping they left this one open, too," I say angrily.
"And stick together!" Michael yelled. "We believe there to only be one imposter, so stick together. If you're separated the imposter can go to the vent he knows he left open and close it himself. Or she."
Quickly, the group dispersed. Michael and I, always suspicious of Bennett and/or Sophia, go straight to the Boiler Room where they've been sleeping and hanging out at.
We step in. Huge steaming devices are in the floor.
"How on EARTH did they sleep here comfortably?" Michael asked
"I think they're doing more than sleeping in here," I say. "Y'know the both of them," I eye him.
We both go down to the vent.
"It's closed," Michael said. But I take a second look. The drills our out. Looking around the floor, the four drills are around the place. The vent lifts up very easily.
"This doesn't mean that it's Bennett and Sophia," Michael says.
"I know," I respond. "Gets us anywhere closer; we're doing it."
"Who was near the Boiler Room when everyone walked out of a their hiding spots?"
"Oh, god, I don't know, Michael."
"It..." he said, voice breaking, "was Allison."
"What?" I say.
"Allison walked out of here," he said, point towards the room next to us through the door.
I take a second.
"ALLISON!" I yell. Everyone floods in, Allison and Ava last.
"What?" Allison says. "Stop, you know you trust me-" She realizes what we're blaming her for.
"Have you guys been in other rooms?" Sophia asks.
"N-no," Michael says.
"Then you'd know this ain't evidence. The vent in every room is drilled open, but not actually open. It's every vent across the entire place."
"They knew we'd realize," I said.
"They knew we'd realize," Bennett repeats. "This got us NOWHERE Noah. We wasted time when we could've been helping Olivia."
"She was gone, Bennett," Michael said. This was a new side for Bennett. I've never seen him care for anyone other than Sophia. "She was too far gone we aren't doctors. Even if she was savable we don't know how to save her. That was Maddie's job."
"She was good," I say. "Nobody thought it was her. She fixed someone she hurt to not be blamed. She was good!" Then I look around. "And so is whoever is here now."
"We can't talk like that," Ava says. "We need to stick together. We need to. If were separated they can kill quickly."
"Should've been the thing we did since the beginning!" Michael said, mad at himself. "We've done this before, Noah! We know what we could've done to save this and we didn't! Everyone's DEAD!"
"Michael, relax," Allison says. "There's still a majority here."
"Right," Michael says. "It feels like there is so much more than just 4 bodies missing. You don't notice how much a human can make a difference until they aren't here. They're dead."
The group looked down.
"How did you sleep in here?" Ava asked.
"What?" Bennett and Sophia ask, clearly nervous.
"We don't," Bennett says. Michael and I smirk at him. Ava, realizing, looks away blushing, and Sophia giggles.
"What?" Allison asks, and everyone erupts into laughter. Deep down, we're all. Still. Teenag-
AN HOUR LATER.
Everyone was going to sleep, together in the Medical Bay (Ava and Allison slept on the floor, they were okay). Olivia was murdered at midnight, and it was now near 1:45. Her body has been thrown into the lava pool, and the late morning has felt weird; normal when someone has been killed.
We drifted off.
SIX HOURS LATER. 7:45.
We wake up, and once I'm fully awake I quickly get up and make sure all the sleeping bodies are breathing.
Michael's breathing.
Ava's breathing.
Allison's breathing.
Bennett's missing.
Sophia's missing.
Shit.
"ALLISON!" I yell, waking her and the other three people in here up.
"WHAT?!" she snaps back. Looking around, she jolts forward and we all run to the Boiler Room.
In the Boiler Room where two bodies and a fully open vent.
"Shit!" I say. There was a knife in both of them. I check Bennett's pulse. "Check Sophia's!" I yell Michael. Bennett's alive. "He's alive!"
"Sophia's alive," Michael says. He turns back to see if anyone upset at this, but the two of them are fine. "And there's no evidence."
"It doesn't matter, at this moment the two of them are alive."
"What if they killed them selves?" said Ava. "They could've been the murderers. Working together. So they killed themselves."
"Before they killed us? Their work wasn't finished," I say.
"It was," Michael chimed in. "They killed Olivia."
"Olivia was bothering them," Allison adds. "Remember the night of Rose's death? The whole situation when Olivia walked in on them trying to be friendly? They got annoyed and she got uncomfortable so didn't talk about it when you were with her."
"It makes sense," Ava said.
And it did.
"Well, good morning!" I say, leaving. "Kill them if you want to." And they look at each other. And before I know what happens next, i'm back in the Medical Bay.
The crying from Allison and Ava informed me that at least it was hard for them.
Soon after; the splash of the bodies hitting the lava after; were chilling.
