Ok. So I'm not a great writer and I have trouble putting my ideas down on paper, but I'm gonna do my best to do this right. So, if you like it, tell me and I'll upload more! I need to know if this is even wattpad worthy.

Chapter one

Introductions and a Scare

It was just like any other normal day consisting of rain. Forced to remain contained within the confines of my home waiting endlessly for the torrential downpour to cease it's onslaught, we watched the never ending deluge as it battered and crashed against the windows. All we could do was remain seated in the kitchen as we impatiently awaited in vain, the arrival of clear sunny skies and warm weather.

I detested rain.

But enough with the pleasantries. I do, after all, have a portion of this story to narrarate.

My name is Glen Andrews. I'm 15 years old, 5' 7", weight 130 pounds, have topaz eyes, short black hair, pale skin, and a crush on my best female friend, Lilly James. I live in a small town surrounded by farmland and wide open ranges. My older brother, Jeremy, would be 19 now, but we don't know if he is even alive since he dissapeard around 3 years ago. My parents died when I was ten in a supposed car accident but I know better. They were murdered by some unknown killer. Ever since that day my brother had been forced to choose between working at the age of 14 and having a limited amount of time to spend with me, or being separated from me to go to another family. So ever since I've been living with Seth and Will and their parents. Currently, I'm the only one left of my family.

I miss my family a lot, but its ok. Its pretty great here so I don't let it get me down. But I can't help but wonder what could have happened in this quaint little town that caused my brother to vanish suddenly. I mean, everybody basically knows everyone else so it's not like he ran away from someone. But back to the subject at hand.

It's a pretty great place to live. Normally I can just go out with all my friends whenever I want. We had been planning to go out and have fun on this particular day for weeks! But now all we can do is wait out the thunderstorms.

I've known my friends, Lillian (my crush), Seth, and Will since I was just a little kid. Will and Seth were around a year before I was even born. Lillian and I are the same age. So Lillian is 15. She has dark strawberry blong hair, medium blue eyes, fair skin, and a light tan.

Seth has light brown hair and (oddly enough, although he wears contacts to hide it) aubern eyes. He and Will are 16. Will has dirty blond hair and also (as uncanny as it is to have) silver eyes, although he doesn't wear contacts to conceal it. They were adopted by one of the nicest couples alive, the Perkins family. And as strange as it seems, they aren't related to each other, despite their uncanny facial and physical similarities. But their parents, I assume, are either dead like mine, decided they didn't want them, couldn't afford to raise them, or were forced to give them up by the government. Lillians really the only one in our group with a true family. But she doesn't have a very good one.

The thing is, her brother Richard is an alcoholic and comes home drunk, if he ever comes home. He can be incredibly abusive so she usually ends up sleeping over with us at the Perkins. Her dad is constantly going away on business trips for the company he runs and her mother travels with him, so she's home alone most of the time.

So, that's our close knitt group. It doesn't surprise me in the least that they were the ones pulled into this when I began my quest to rescue Jeremy and help save Gonderash. But! I'm getting ahead of myself.

Let's start where I left off.
