Riley Jacob woke up the same way she did every morning. She rolled over to face her boyfriend and kissing him on the nose.

"Goodmorning Archikins."

"Goodmorning Rileybug," he leaned over to give her a quick kiss.

"Kids, breakfast is ready!" Fred yelled from downstairs. Riley took a whiff of the air and smelled freshly cooked bacon. The couple got out of bed and realized they hadn't gotten dressed the night before. Riley threw on her athletic shorts and one of Archie's hoodies. Archie just put on a pair of joggers and no shirt. They walked down the stairs and ate breakfast.

"Riles?"

"Arch?"

"I was wondering if you wanna hang out with me and Betty at Pops tonight."

"Babe, you know Betty wouldn't go for that. She hates me, has ever since we started dating. I'd rather not start anything."

"Okay, you don't have to if you don't want. So, I'm gonna go hang out with Jug. I'll be home around 2 and I'm meeting with Betts at 7, so we get 5 hours to hang out. I love you."

"I love you too," she leaned over and pecked him on the cheek. He pulled her in and kissed her on the lips.

"Bye Rileybug."

"Bye Archikins."

Riley wasn't that social, despite being a cheerleader and girlfriend to the Archie Andrews. Riley just felt weird around people, especially all the people at Riverdale High. They were all different, yet all the same. They were all damaged, but all so perfect. Even Archie. The only person who she could talk to about all of this was the only other teen she knew who had went through the same amount, if not more, shit than she had. That person was none other than Jughead Jones. Riley wanted to go spend some time with him, but he was hanging out with Archie. So, she went to her favorite restaurant, as she often did when she was lonely.

"Morning Pop!"

"Goodmorning Riley! Would you like your regular?"

"Yes please!"

Not long after, Riley was brought a strawberry milkshake along with a large fry. She started scrolling on her phone while snacking. There were God knows how many narcissistic selfies of Cheryl and some pictures of Betty outside the Register. She hear a bell sing and looked up to see her 2 favorite guys laughing and walking into Pops. She ducked her head so they didn't see her then scooted out. She always wanted Archie to know she trusts him, and he might have gotten the wrong idea if he saw her.

Riley walked back to the Andrews' house, but not before looking at Betty's house. She longed to be Betty's friend, and at one time she was. Only issue was that they both liked Archie, and Archie only liked Riley. As soon as they became official, Betty refused to talk to Riley. The rest was history.

"Oh, look who it is. What are you doing here?" Riley turned around to see Cheryl Bombshell herself.

"Just heading home, why?"

"You know, I could really help you out. Lesson one, save the baggy sweatshirts for sitting at home. Alright? Anyway, we need to practice. If you don't want to look like a fool for your little boy toy, then I'd recommend we head to Thornhill so we can practice. Wanna?" Not much could be said about their friendship other than it was less of a friendship, more of two people tolerating each other. But with Cheryl, that was an accomplishment.

"Sure, I've just gotta go grab a tee from the house and I'll be right down."

"Ok."

Riley ran into the Andrews' house with sweat running down her face. Archie looked at her with concern and put his hands on her shoulders.

"Archie, I'm sorry I'm late! I know we were going to hang out for 5 hours, but Cheryl wanted to practice. I mean, I'm only 20 minutes late, but-" he put his finger to her lips.

"Riles, it's okay. I understand. Let's just go hang out in our room," Archie winked, and it was obvious what was about to go down...
