Ok, so the AU this all occurs in has a few major differences than the original story. First, Betty and Archie aren't as close as they were in the show since Betty liked Archie but in this AU he is dating Riley. Betty also HATES Riley. All of this is happening right before Veronica and Archie meet at Pops and in this AU Jason doesn't die until later on in the school year.
So, some important background info on Riley. Her parents both lived with her on the Northside until they died in a car crash when she was 15. She lived on the streets for a while, until she started dating Archie and she moved in with him. Also, something that Riley doesn't know that could become important later on is that Riley's dad was a well known goulie.
Archie and Jughead are Riley's only friends.
