Cho was excited for the start of Drama for this year. The experience, the people, and the show was what she lived for. This year was just going to be better.
"Yeji! Where is everyone?" Cho asked the only other person present in the room.
The surprised girl shot her head up from her cell phone, "Ryujin went to get snacks. Also, the meeting doesn't start for thirty minutes." She beckoned the new entree over.
"Ugh, I am so ready for this year's play," Cho told the older, laying down on the couch they sat on.
"Same. Grease is gonna be so much fun," Yeji replied and finally set down her phone. Yeji was a close friend of Cho's especially during drama.
"Who are you going to try out for?" The younger girl, Cho, had asked. Yeji wasn't much of an actor. She liked acting but preferred small parts.
She hummed in return, "I'm think Patty. What do you think?"
"Yes! For some reason I'd think you'd do great at it. I mean Patty's such a goody-two-shoes, yet deceiving and you'd do that very well."
"Thanks." Yeji smiled, much happier now. "How about you, got any roles in mind?"
"Yeah, I've always been fascinated with Rizzo's part and—"
"I'm back bitch, I got snacks for us," Ryujin slammed open the door, not long before she dropped a bunch of snack bags on the couch. "Oh hey Cho, didn't see you sorry."
"Hey Ryujin, you're fine. Can I take some?" Cho had reached out and already grabbed a bag, but figured she'd be polite and ask.
"Hell yeah go ahead, so who do you think you're going to try out for?" She asked while stuffing her hand in a bag of chips. "I want Jan."
Cho hummed and replied, "I was actually telling Yeji that I think I'd be good at Rizzo's character."
"Oh my! Yes! Holy shit, why does that fit so well," the younger girl beamed excitedly. Yeji had swore at her to watch her language which started an argument between them.
Cho just sat back and laughed. It was good to be in the realm again. During drama season, many students from different cliques and groups all come together for a play. You have some from fantastic vocals from choir, graceful yet funny dancers, a jock or two, amazing painters, and some others. They all acted like a family during drama before returning to their respective groups.
Cho didn't have a clique that she was in out of drama. She got along with everyone basically, however Lia had to be her so called best friend. Lia and her did everything together from sports to student council to drama. They were one of the school's best dynamic duos.
Ryujin eventually got tired of fighting and ran to another couch with her bag of chips. Meanwhile, Yeji let her go, telling me about all of the available parts for the play this year.
As she was about to explain the male lead and possible candidates, the door flew open and slammed against the wall.
"Hey guys! You're favorite actor is here!" Lee Donghyuck, a dramatic actor and singer, gave flying kisses to us.
"Hyuckie, come over here," Ryujin called to him and once he was close enough, she yanked him down onto the couch.
"Where's the boyfriend?" Yeji asked, disregarding the boy's presence.
"Hey, I'm here too! But honestly, I don't know," Donghyuck shrugged and stole a gummy from the table of snacks, "He's probably hiding because if he comes near the drama room, he knows I'll drag him in here."
We all collectively shrugged. Poor child hates to act, but Donghyuck always forces him to if he's around. "True, I guess. Welp tell him we miss him here," I spoke up.
