They were three practices into memorizing lines with their respective groups. The 'T-Birds' and the 'Pink Ladies' still haven't gone through lines together, and the cast was hoping today would be the day—or some of the cast was.
Cho didn't know how to act around Yangyang. She didn't want to make things awkward but how else were things going to go, when they barely knew each other. Yet, they have to play one of the main love stories in the play, and it wasn't helping their case.
Jaehyun wanted the first two practices to make sure that the chemistry among the cast members worked great. The cast read the play, part by part, with only a certain amount of people in the drama room at a time. It wasn't the regular scheduled but it worked out well. Now he wanted to put in some light actions with the script.
"Okay, today we will be having everyone together and will do our best to add in light actions," Jaehyun clapped and smiled.
Everyone was excited to get to work together today. Cho and Donghyuck would even get to work through their scene today, which for them, was the best part.
Hyunjin had asked when everyone would be learning the songs and dances. To which Johnny replied with a simple, "I'm having Ten come in next week and we'll start working on choreo."
"Ten-hyung?!" Yukhei yelled out as loud as possible.
"Yes, Yukhei," Johnny laughed then paused, "wait, why are you even here?"
"Ryujin always has snacks," he shrugged but continued to give his reasons, "and Yangyang is too chicken to stay by himself. So I get to come and be the support!" Yukhei had a beaming smile on his face.
"Yukhei, you don't mind if we put you to work later on, do you?" Jaehyun had now looked up from the script that he was glancing over with the leads.
Yukhei shook his head and spoke with a mouthful of food, "No, not at all. My mom thinks I'm helping, so I might as well."
"You told your mom that you're helping with the play," Cho asked, really confused with furrowed eyebrows, "and she believed you?"
"Yes! But you have to help lie for me and say that it was your idea because I'm tall," Yukhei's innocent smile grew ten times larger like a dumb puppy.
"What does your height have to do with this?" Yeji laughed along with some others.
"I told my mom that because I'm tall, and no one else is—"
"Can we work on the play instead?" Lia rolled her eyes before walking to the front, gaining nods from people in the room.
"Yes, Lia is right," Jaehyun cleared his throat before looking to Yukhei, "finish the story later though, I still wanna hear." He said the last bit in more of a hushed tone.
"Let's start with scene one," Johnny picked up a script and took his seat. "Actually—I'm going to start you guys at scene three."
"Wait, that's when the boys crash our sleepover right?" Ryujin asked, flipping through her own script as well.
Johnny confirmed her with a nod. It was a little nerve racking, because the boys and girls haven't practiced together just quite yet. Only Jaemin and Yeri have rehearsed their lines outside of their own personal groups.
"Alright let's go," Cho said and hooked her arm with Tzuyu's arm on her way up. "Jae, where are we picking up at?"
"At the beginning little—" Jaehyun paused momentarily, "Cho. We'll start at the beginning and go all the way through."
The girls all stood up in front of the room, ready to read off their lines. Jaehyun had the boys off to the side for now, and he would call them in when it was time.
