"Chemistry reads bitches!"
A chorus of groans sounded from the group. Chemistry read were so boring. You stood there with the opposite sex—sometimes same—and recited lines that show great affection. It was definitely awkward most of the time.
Only Donghyuck would be happy about this. The fool loved making other blush and panic. However, others despised it. Yeji literally gagged a year ago when she tried confessing her love to Hyunjin. It wasn't good.
"So who are you going to audition for?" Cho asked Lia who was there today.
"I'm think about Rizzo now. Only because Yangyang is most likely playing Kenichie, and I've had a huge crush on him for so long," she replied with stars in her eyes.
"What?" Cho asked, "you have a crush on Yangyang? Since when?" Cho was extremely confused at the moment. Lia and her were best friends who always told each other everything, especially their crushes so this was new. It almost felt like betrayal.
"Since he dyed his hair back in October, so only a few months now. Even though his purple hair is gone, he's still really cute," Lia had told her, "plus he's super fun."
Cho sat in silence as Lia filled her in on her small crush throughout the months. Lia wanted the role of Rizzo, so she could be close with Yangyang. It made no sense.
"Yeah, but I was going to try out for Rizzo," Cho finally spoke up for the first time, cutting off her best friend in the middle of a story about how Yangyang numbed into her. "Plus we don't even know if he's going to be Kenichie."
"True, true," Lia pursed her lips and nodded, "but I heard he really stole the show with Kenichie's role."
Cho knew that the story of the world's—their high school's—best and newest actor, Yangyang, was going around. Everyone in the drama room yesterday was astonished by the troublemaker's amazing acting skills. If Cho was honest, even she had been surprised.
"Well we'll see what happens today, okay?" Cho suggested in the nicest manner. Lia nodded and both girls went over to sit by Ryujin who was freaking out about a new song.
"Alright everyone!" Jaehyun gathered everybody's attention, "I have recruited another person to help me teach you guys. Everyone say hi to Johnny, and I know most of you know him."
"Johnny-hyung!" Screamed Donghyuck, before he ran up to the elder, tackling him in a hug.
"Hi Hyuckie, can you let your favorite cousin go now?" Johnny chocked out like he was out of air. Donghyuck let go and retreated back to his place by Jaemin, who still look unamused.
"Well, let's begin with the readings. We'll start off with Sandy's role," Jaehyun and Johnny both sat at the table set up with names and notepads. "The male playing Danny will be Jaemin for now."
A chorus a clapping and small cheers were thrown out as Jaemin made his way to the front. The boy gave everyone his cheeky smile, yet dropped his head as he walked.
Jaehyun picked up the list of names, "First reading with Jaemin, Yuqi."
Yuqi did really well for only her second year of being in drama. There was a little chemistry there, but not quite enough to gain the role of Sandy.
Yeri was up next to read for Sandy. Yeri was a fantastic actress who put the right amount of emotion into every line effortlessly. It was her final year in drama, and everyone hoped she'd gain the lead role.
Yeri and Jaemin's chemistry was set. They worked perfectly together. The role was guaranteed to go the girl after their wonderful performance. Some were saying that they only worked so well together, because Yeri has always had a crush on the boy. But who really knew?
