Another day in Hell

It's dark. And quiet.
I... feel calm... warm
My breathing is... steady now.
A woman's voice... Sweetie... Stop playing now...

BANG BANG

My eyes snap open I look around my room but see nothing. It's dark. And quiet, too quiet. I know a noise woke me but there is nothing now.

I no longer feel calm yet am still warm. I feel the warmth flow up my back and down my legs. Oh no.

I begin to get up so I can change my eyes lock onto another pair peeking through the crack of my door. My breathing is anything but steady now. I begin to tremble.

Then there is a woman's voice. The eyes look beyond me as she says, "Sweetie stop playing and knock that little whore out Now."

My eyes snap open as Jeremy shakes me a wake. "I hongwy."

"Ok buddy" I say as I walk from the area with the mats to the 'kitchen' area which is just a few steps away actually.
Our kitchen down here only consisted of a microwave, a refrigerator, and some cardboard boxes to put the cans, plates, bowls, cups and utensils in.

I opened the fridge and grabbed the french toast sticks and waffles. I heated up the food. Then I got the plates from the box and distributed the food. I poured Jeremy a glass of juice and went to wake the others to tell them their food was ready.

When we were all awake and nearly done with breakfast we heard a chain rattle. We all shoved the rest of our food in our mouths then Eliza and I began rushing to clean. The chain dropped and the person on the other side began fidgeting with the deadbolt lock. Meanwhile Jack and Rachel gave the morning talk to the little ones to help them get through another day in hell.
