I rush out of the bathroom, walking faster than I could to make it in time for the reunion. I wouldn't call it a party or an event... it was sort of like a gathering. Plus... those two combines with reunion doesn't sound good to me. Talk about getting drunk with someone from your high school that I would have forgotten their names by now. Stranger danger!

Anyway, I was late for the event. I had been binge-watching a series on my phone that I didn't realize that the time ticking. Even when the clock was showing itself quite obviously on the top corner of my phone, I still don't see the hours that had passed. A good show just distracts you very well.

"Shit... I am so late," I muttered, cursing multiple profanities under my breath. Seeing how late it was, I put on what I could find first from my bag. Which were a grey shirt and black pants. Looking at both clothing, I sigh. I could have gone for something more... fancy? But whatever, this could do. The people wearing the fabric makes the outfit, therefore... I just had to be confident.

Bubby came rubbing his body against my legs, having me look at him. "I can't pet you right now Bubby, I'm late," I said, earning a series of meows from the cat while he jumps up onto my bed, sitting there while looking at me carefully. As if I was being judged for my procrastinating habits.

"Yes, I'll pet you for a good amount of time when I come back home, okay? Be nice to my parents while I'm gone, especially mom," I explained to him, blinking slowly to have his trust. They said that if you blinked slowly at your cat and then if they blinked back slowly too, it means that they trust you. Maybe a superstition, but oh well, might as well try. Like that one where they said black cats bring bad luck, I don't even trust that one bit.

When I didn't get a blink back from Bubby, he meowed. "What? My mom doesn't want your fur to stick around the house. She doesn't hate you, she even pets you the other day," I countered, not agreeing with him.

"Meow,"

"Okay, that one I would agree. She is a total clean freak," I admit, walking to the mirror to brush my hair. There were streaks of light brown locks that were still there on my hair. I dyed it once before and I have forgotten and got lazy to dye it again. Now, it was just a mix of black and brown which was kinda cool. I don't mind it at all.

Once I was ready, I got out of my room, taking a jacket with me. When I was downstairs, I rushed to get the keys to my car. "I'm going to the reunion now - and please, don't wait for me. You know I'm older than I was before," I said, opening the door but stop to wait for my parents' reply. They were watching The Big Bang Theory, which episode and season - I don't know but the sight of it made me crack a smile.

"We're not even waiting for you. We're just... watching shows late at night," Mom retorted, trying hiding the not so sure tone in her tone.

I chuckled. "Lies! I'm going now, Bye!" I yelled, rushing to my car with a smile. Getting in, I couldn't help but smell the floral scent air freshener which was still there. I thought maybe after so long, it would run out. "I pray you still work, baby. Sorry, I left you for so long," I muttered, starting the engine and smiling when it comes to life smoothly. My baby was still energized as ever. Now... it was time to meet some faces and potentially... him.
