"So, tell me about yourself." Jinsoul said excitedly as she took a slice of pizza.
"Uh, theres nothing much about me." Jungeun said as she lowered her head.
"Well, it could be anything. You can tell me about your birthdate and your hobbies first." Jinsoul said as she munched on the slice of pizza she was holding.
"Uh, I was born on..." Jungeun trailed as her mind traveled to another memory she had ages ago.

"Appa, I want a white teddy bear for my birthday!" 5 year old Jungeun asked her father happily, earning a scoff from her father.
"You want a white teddy bear for your birthday?" Her father asked and scoffed, causing Jungeun to nod innocently.
"You'll get it when your mother comes back to life." Her father spat at her, causing Jungeun to flinch. "You're supposed to mourn on your birthday, it's the date when your mother was killed by you." Her father yelled as he took a chug of his beer.
"But... it's my birthday too.." Jungeun trailed innocently, earning a glare from her father.
"You dumbass. Don't you get it? You wouldn't be here if your mother wasn't dead." Her father sneered as she pushed Jungeun's head harshly, making tears fall out from Jungeun's eyes.
"I-I just wanted a birthday gift." Jungeun cried as she rubbed her head.
"I'll give it to you if your mother was alive." Her father slurred drunkenly. "Stop crying or else.." Jungeun's father demanded and slapped little Jungeun across her face, causing her to cry even harder.
"Do you hear me? Stop crying?" Jungeun's father yelled louder, pinching Jungeun's arms harshly, causing blue marks to appear. "You never fail to disappoint me." Jungeun's father spat and went out the house, leaving Jungeun in the corner, crying her eyes out.
When Jungeun's birthday came, she didn't have anything to do. No one celebrated her birthday, not even her own father. All Jungeun did was stared at her mother's photograph.
"Happy death anniversary, eomma. It's my birthday too, but appa said that I was supposed to mourn because my birthday doesn't matter anyway." Jungeun sighed as she talked to her late mother's photograph.
Tears rolled down her eyes as she hugged the frame to her chest. "Sorry eomma. I'm so sorry for existing." Jungeun mumbled in tears. Obviously, those weren't the words that should come out from a 5 year old, which was even sadder.
"I just wanted a white teddy bear for my birthday.." Jungeun trailed as she hugged her mother's photograph.
"Jungeun? are you okay?" Jinsoul asked in concerned when she realized tears were forming in the smaller girl's eyes. "Did I say something wrong?" Jinsoul asked again.
"Oh shit, did I zone out? I'm really sorry." Jungeun chuckled awkwardly as she looked at the ceiling, forcing her tears back in.
"Yeah, It's fine but are you okay?" Jinsoul asked again.
"Yup, I'm fine. I was just, tired." Jungeun laughed softly.
"Oh uh, you can sleep first, I'll clean this up." Jinsoul insisted as she cleared Jungeun's plate.
"You sure?" Jungeun asked, earning a genuine nod from Jinsoul.
"100%! now go get some rest, you can have this for breakfast if you want to." Jinsoul smiled as she stood up.
"Thanks Jinsoul." Jungeun smiled as she plopped herself into bed.
"No biggie. Good night Jungeun." Jinsoul smiled.
"Good night, Jinsoul." Jungeun replied as she closed her eyes.
Jinsoul found it a bit odd that Jungeun suddenly zoned out with tears forming in her eyes. It was like Jungeun having flashbacks. Jinsoul was curious about what kind of flashbacks that Jungeun had until tears clouded up her eyes.
After cleaning up, Jinsoul sat at the edge of her bed, staring at her roommate who was sleeping peacefully. She chuckled softly when she realized that jungeun twitches in her sleep.
The familiar feeling was still present in Jinsoul. She couldn't get a grasp of it. She only feels it whenever Jungeun's in her sight. Maybe Jungeun has something to do with it.
"I don't know what's bothering you, but I hope you'll get through it, Junguen." Jinsoul smiled as she tucked herself into bed.
Little did Jinsoul knew, Jungeun was actully awake, still in deep thought. She paused her thoughts and smiled softly when she heard those words came from Jinsoul.
Maybe things could get better when I'm with her. She pondered.
