"Tamera hurry up you don't want to be late for your first day of school." my mum shouted from the kitchen.
"I'm coming." I yelled back
I was finishing the final touches on my makeup. I wanted to look flawless on my first day but also casual. I made sure that everything was looking fine before grabbing my phone and bag from the table before leaving my room.
I jogged down the steps to go meet my mum in the kitchen.
"Are you ready?" my mum asked smiling down at me.
"Nearly" I replied "let me just get something to eat real quick"
"Okay. Come meet me at the car when you're done. " My mum replied to me walking off to the car.
I grabbed a pack belvita biscuits, a tangerine and a capri sun before walking out of the kitchen to meet my mum at the car.
"Okay, you set" my mum asked me as I sat in the passenger seat of her BMW.
"Sure but I don't know why we keep moving. It's like we're running away from something"
"Er, its nothing like that im just trying to provide the best for both of us and it may be hard now but I promise you it'll get better." My mum said while starting the car.
"But moving now isn't going to be the easiest for me right now. Im already a term into year 10 and starting my gcses. Plus I had just started making friends and I had to leave just like that." I told my mum
"Like I said, I want the best for both of us and if it discomforts us a little then we're going to have to deal with it"
"Okay" I muttered before turning to face the window.
As I sat in tht car I wondered why we really kept moving and why my mum hesitated before she answered. I closed my eyes and allowed my mind to wander all the the possibilities.
