Part Seven

Valerie Walker (Tamera's mum) P.O.V
It was now six o'clock and Tamera's still hadn't come home. I wasn't scared but I wanted to know where she was and she still had some unpacking to do. I decided to call her.
"Hello"
"Where are you?"
"I'm at a friends house"
"Hurry up and get home you still have some unpacking to do."
"Ok" I heard before she cut me off
"Aww my baby has made new friends" I thought to myself
I went back to my unpacking. I was at it for 10 minutes before my phone began to ring. I picked up the phone and looked at the number. It was a private number. I reluctantly answered the phone. I stayed quiet waiting for the person on the other end of the line to speak.
"Hello"
As soon as I heard the voice I knew who it was. It was him. I was dreading the day he would find my number. How did he find my number. I stood speechless remembering all the things he had done to me. It was him. My ex. It was Derek.
"Valerie I know you're there. Answer me."
"How did you get my number"
"Don't worry about that now. I just want to say I'm sorry and I want you back In my life,"
"Hell no. I don't want you any where near me or Tamera."
"Fuck you then. If you don't want to let me see my daughter I'll track you down."
I cut off the phone tried of listening to Derek. Derek was my ex husband. I had got married early at the age of 20 since having Tamera at the age of 19. We started out as a happy couple but soon afterward he started to hit and abuse me. He wasn't always like that though. The slightest things set him of. The fact that he switched on me on the phone showed that he hadn't change. I wanted to get a drink of water before I went back to my unpacking. I got up and turned around to be faced by Tamera.
"Hi baby. How was your first day?" I asked nervously
"Good. Who was that on the phone?" She Asked
"Nobody important." I said rushing her to take a seat "so I heard you made some new friends."
"Yeah. Can I go to party on Saturday."
"Already. Are you sure it's going to be safe."
"Yeah we're all responsible adults."
"If you say so; don't come back pregnant though"
"That's inappropriate. You know I'm not about that life. Tamera said getting up
"Just be safe." I watched Tamera leave the room before giving a sigh of relief

Tamera P.O.V
*Next morning*
It was 7:15 and I had just got out of the bath. I creamed myself with my Victoria secret cream before putting on my green uniform. After putting on my uniform I slicked half of my curly hair into a bun and left the rest out. Once I was finished I walked downstairs to get some breakfast. I made myself a bowl of golden syrup porridge before sitting down at the table. Not too long afterwards my mum entered the kitchen.
"Good morning " she yawned
"Good morning. You don't look like you've had the best sleep."
"Just a late night. By the way do you want me to drop you off at school."
"No thank you. Someone's picking me up"
"Who"
"Tara"
"Hmm, get to school safely."
After finishing my porridge I washed my bowl before heading over to the living room to watch part of my recorded catfish. I had watched ten minutes before I heard the door bell ringing. I turned off the tv and then opened the front door.
"Hi Tara."
"Hi, are you ready "
"Yeah, let me just get my bag." I grabbed my bag before shouting "bye mum." And shutting the door.
We walked along the road to the bus stop. We waited 2 minutes for our bus. Once we had got on the bus we walked upstairs.There was a few other people wearing the same uniform that I was wearing but they looked like they were in a younger year. We took our seats close to the back of the bus.
"So, are you coming on Saturday." She asked curiously
"Yeah. What time does it end though."
"Late"
"How late"
"Moderately late"
"Which is?"
"Tamera stop playing games. It's late."
"So around what time would I be getting home" I giggled
"Tamera" she said straight facing before joining me in laughter
We were on the bus for a little while before Zara , Ariana and Renee got on the bus.
"Hi" they said simultaneously
"Hi" i replied
"Wassup my nigga's " Tara shouted making all of us laugh
"Nothing much just the usual" Zara responded
"Renée what's going on with you and Isaac?" Tara asked
"I don't know, it's complicated" Renee answered
"What happened" Ariana aksed
"Well basically Shantel told me that she fucked Isaac so I went and confronted him and he got pissed off so yeah that's where we are now."
"Have you talked to him?" Ariana questioned
"No he's not talking to me."
"Time to get off the bus." Zara said
We all got off the bus and started walking down the road to our school. I wanted to ask Renee why Shantel had told her what she said but I did not think that was my place.
"Where did you find out that Shantel fucked Isaac?"
"She told me" Renée mumbled
"You should know better than to listen to that slut"
"I just got caught up in the moment"
"Don't worry about it anyway he can't handle us light skin girls" Zara said flipping her hair and making us all laugh.
