"Hng.."

I groaned. In my bed, I laid still and calm. The room was dark, but I could tell it was morning due to the shining scarlet sunlight escaping into my room through the cracks in the closed curtains.

Right, hell.

For some reason, hell seemed really.. welcoming. Perhaps it was because I haven't left the hotel, but the demon's I have met so far have been really nice to me. Especially the fact that the hotel I am residing in was meant for the "rehabilitation of demons"; that gave me hope.

I sluggishly leaned forward far enough to sit hunched over, both my arms wrapped around my waist. I thought about last night. What sort of static is that strong to keep me up at night? Did it bother anyone else?

Suddenly, the silence of the morning was broken as I heard two soft knocks on my door.

"Come in..." I mumbled, placing my head into my hands.

The door hastily opened, revealing Angel Dust. He strutted in and grinned widely. 'Where did he get all this energy from?' I wondered, pulling the blanket to cover my eyes.

"Hey toots!"

"What's gotten into you..." I groaned, and rolled over to enjoy a few seconds of silence, right before hearing the sudden clip-clopping of heels.

"OH-" I gasped for air, instantly awake, only to find Angel Dust sitting right on my stomach. I let out a strained laugh and wheezed 'get off me or I'll surely die'. At first he lay down (still on me) and angrily I wheezed "Angel!" until he finally rolled over. Instantly I sat up, "What the heck!" He grabbed at his stomach and howled with his palm on his forehead. When he was done, he threw his head back and exhaled, running his fingers through his hair.

"Aw, shucks, sugar. And here I thought you'd be excited to see me." I nudged him, frustratedly but still jokingly. "Fugget about it, schnookums. I just wanted to let ya know breakfast is ready," He sprung off my bed and rushed out the door as quickly as he had arrived. All I could do was stare after him, confused, through half-closed eyes.

"I'm waitinggg-" his voice slowly faded away.. followed by a grunt and a dull thud.

I screamed. "ANGEL- AAAHH!" Tears formed in my eyes as I kicked around my legs, snorting with laughter. The ruckus must've been so loud that we've attracted others, because Niffty came up and knocked on my door, panicked. I tried to catch my breath and assured her that everything was fine, to which she just huffed and scurried away, probably annoyed she got interrupted. I wiped away the tears and started getting up, throwing on some clothes and made my way to the kitchen.

I arrived at the kitchen. The first person I noticed was Angel Dust; he was rubbing his butt and wincing. I snickered, and with all my might tried not to laugh out loud. He eventually turned around and his face brightened, waving his hand rapidly in excitement, which I mirrored. I greeted Charlie as well, and sat down next to Angel Dust, eyes glistening at all the food that was before me: eggs, toast, cereal, and some alcohol but I wasn't going to touch that.

Whilst digging in and making occasional small talk, I couldn't help but notice the static again. I should be scared, in fact, terrified of this static. By the aura that it emitted, I should be scared for my life. This was a dangerous power coming from an immoral soul, yet I was here, not caring, or at least not caring enough. About an hour later, when I offered to wash the dishes and Angel dust rolled his eyes, the static got worse. I decided to brush it off, hoping it wouldn't bother me.
