Jamie

I just received word that we are being slowly reintroduced to the office environment as restrictions are lifting gradually, but if we still feel the need to work from home, we can. I'm torn between should I work at home or go into the office, so I had arranged to go in to have a look around to see what measures had been put in place and to see how I would feel about being back in the office atmosphere. It was very strange to see hand sanitising stations, sprays to disinfect door handles and light switches and other electrical equipment, but at least it feels a little safer. So, I've agreed to go in twice a week to see if I feel comfortable with the transition and by the looks of things, they will only allow a maximum of eight in per department, which seems to help things, amongst other safety measures.

So, I selected Monday and Tuesday since they wanted to remain closed on a Wednesday for a deep clean, I'm not wanting the tail end of the week since Ty has secured Friday nights off. I can't be harassed getting home, showered, and changed for our date nights and feel stressed at the thought. It may be a little selfish on my behalf, but it is time that I started to look after myself and not be so work orientated.

We have been texting back and forth throughout the week and despite being exhausted with work, we have managed a few phone calls here and there and I'm can't wait for Friday to come around. It gives me a buzz knowing that we keep arranging dates for one another and I know it's going to be the opposite of what I planned for us with a meal on the boat, but at the same time, I'm excited to see what makes Ty tick.

Friday

Well, the date night is finally here and I'm excited. Ty has arranged to meet me outside at five thirty and I made sure I started work an hour earlier this morning just so I can get time at the other side to have a shower and get ready for our date. As I walked down the steps, Ty looked up and a sly but mischievous smile appeared on her face and then a look of absolute admiration. I've not seen someone look at me like that in an exceptionally long time. "Hey. You look amazing." Ty leaned in and gave me a kiss on the cheek, keeping it simple as if we were to do what we normally do, I'm sure I'd hear some screeching from my parents' house.

"Thank you. You are looking mighty fine yourself. What are our plans for this evening?"

"Top secret, but it's physical." Ty gave me a cheeky wink and I shook my head.

"Fine, but as long as I'm fed and watered, I'll be happy."

"Of course, I'm not going to let you go hungry. We might hit the club after, depending how sore you are."

"Sore?!" Ty chuckled and opened the car and gestured for me to get in. I thought it was sweet that she was opening the door for me and closing it behind me. Putting on my seatbelt, Ty joined me in the car, and I looked at her sceptically. "Are you sure that you aren't going to let it slip where we are going?"

"Not at all. You will see when you get there." Like our date the other week but the roles reversed, I got to choose the music and off we went. At first I thought we were going to the West Coast as we were on the same road that I took Ty down the other week, but instead of going left, we went right. I quickly deducted that we were going into Glasgow somewhere with the road that she was taking. It was a strange route indeed. To go down the motorway and then go off a slip road to turn around to head back into a different part of Glasgow and realised that we were heading towards Paisley. When we finally hit Paisley Road West, I honestly thought we were going to be doing some line dancing at the Grand Ol' Oprey or something, but it wasn't that.

"Climbing?" Ty smirked and switched off the car engine. She quickly undone her seatbelt and jumped out the car. I had just taken off my seatbelt when she had opened the car door and held her hand out, which I took. "You weren't kidding when you said it was going to be physical."
