Hell, My Home

Chapter IV

We only been here for 6 months and was getting use to the lifestyle of Hell. Sure, we added in some of Earth's lifestyle into Hell's lifestyle, but Hell was not Earth and we all knew that. A group of demons entered Argenti Lupus today, they was bandits. The leader was a humanoid raven with a prosthetic hand made of iron, his underlings were 2 imps and a zombie. Iron Rave was the leaders name. No one in the town knew the names of his underlings. Iron Rave was speaking in Latin tongue, which was something I couldn't understand yet. 

I was knock to the ground by Iron Rave. "Da mini pecunia, puer" I didn't know what he was saying.

"What?"

He hit me with his iron hand and said the something in Latin again, but added on stupid to the end of his sentence. A saleswoman came over and spoke in Latin. She turned to me and said he was asking for money. She added it would be wise to just give him what you have. I pulled out the 200 Limes I had and handed them over to the bandit. The woman also give him the Limes she had.

After the bandits finish raiding the town they left the way they came. They made off with a lot of loot. The woman asked me if I was okay.

"Yes, thank you."

"I'm Sonya." Sonya was a humanoid wolf with dark blue far, she had a cut under her left eye.

"I'm Jiang."

"Human, yes?"

"Yeah, am human." I wasn't sure why that matter at first.

She touch my right cheek with her... hand. "It's very soft," She said.

"Yeah, our skin is pretty soft." I liked the feeling of her hand touching my face, it was warm. She removed it after a few seconds.

"Sorry, that probably was weird."

"Oh, no. Your hand or paw, whatever you call them was very warm."

She looked down at her feet. "Thank... you." she looked back up at me. "I should get back to my store and see what was stolen."

"Don't you guys have like cops or someone that could take care of those bandits?"

"This is Hell, Jiang. Laws aren't a thing here. Remember that."

Before I could say anything else she had run off to her store. She was nice, I thought. I headed home. Dad was there when I got back, my Mom and sisters was out for a walk with a few other neighbors.

"I heard noises coming from the town, is everything alright?" Dad asked.

"A group of bandits raided the town. I'm fine before you ask. They took the 200 Limes I had."

Dad put down the book he was reading and looked me over. "I'm fine," I said.

"I'm just making sure. You know how your mother can be."

"That's true."

After he got his chance to look me over I went into the kitchen to make some green tea and sit at the dinner table looking at the Darkhawk comic Axel let me borrow. I also forgot wolves are called Iupi or Lupus, if we are talking about on, which is also part of the towns name. Argenti Lupus, which translates into Silver Wolf.

The next day came around, it finally was Saturday, which means no school. Axel stopped by to give me comic 3 to 10 of the Darkhawk comic series. I told him I enjoyed the first 2 comics. I don't read comics too often, but this was a pretty cool series. About 9 or 9:30 in the morning I went down to the town to see how things was, I still had Sonya on my mind and how if it wasn't for her coming to my side I probably be half beating to death or dead altogether. I noticed the light was on in her shop. I decided to go in and see what the shop was, the name was in Latin and if you remember what happen yesterday I don't know any Latin words, most stores had a English title under the Latin name, but Sonya only used Latin.
