Neville's pov:
There she was. Sitting with the rest of her house eating dinner. Y/n snape. The daughter of Professor Severus Snape. She is the coolest, most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Not to mention I was totally in love with her. Sure she's a Slytherin and she's the daughter of the professor that I am terrified of, but there's just something about her, you know? For example, she's really smart. Well I mean of course she is, she's the daughter of a professor but she excels in every subject. Even herbology! And anyone who knows me knows I love herbology. She's also really nice (for a Slytherin). She's even nice to ME. Me, Neville Longbottom, the biggest, dorkiest, loser at Hogwarts. That really says something. Even though her dad hates me (like literally hates me), she doesn't. Y/n is also the most beautiful girl at Hogwarts, but because of that, everyone is after her. Boys and girls. Which gives me less of a chance with her. She has so many options, she'd surely never pick me, right? She probably wouldn't date anyone outside of Slytherin. She's really close with Draco Malfoy and his goons, Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe. They're always together, and from what I've noticed, Malfoy is completely head over heels for her. He definitely has a chance with her. I mean he's a Slytherin, he's her dad's favorite student, he's one of her best friends, the list could probably go on but I can't think of anything else right now. "Neville you're staring again" I heard someone say, pulling me out of my thoughts. "huh? what?" I said. "I said, you're staring again," Seamus told me. "I can't help it. I mean look at her, she's bloody gorgeous" I told him. "Go talk to her" Seamus suggested. " I can't just go up to her and TALK to her. She'd probably laugh at me" I said, "Nev, has she ever laughed at you when you try to talk to her? " he asked me. "no but.." "Okay then" Seamus interrupted, "Now GO TALK TO THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE BEFORE SOMEONE STEALS HER FROM YOU" he yelled at me and next thing I knew, everyone in the great hall was staring at Seamus and me, some people laughed. Even Y/n was looking at us, but she wasn't laughing. She smiled and gave me a sympathetic look, (which I don't know if it's better than her laughing at me). "I'll talk to her tomorrow" I said, and with that, I got up and left.
