To an extent, religion is universal. Maybe you believe in the Hindu Gods, or maybe the Greek gods, or even Christ. Believe whatever you want. No one should stop you from it.
But to an extreme, religion can also be sort of like mindless worship. It shouldn't be used as a crutch.
People need to have not only faith in their outer world but also in themselves.
