Heart Strings

I can feel it. Tightening in my chest. My heart strings are quivering, trembling in antipation, because they know you are near. They can touch your smiling lips and they can feel your welcoming breath. They jump with glee when you steal a glance at me, and i can't help but grow red. It could be habit; to smile when i look at you, or it could be love. Who's to say what love is. How my heart screams, how my brain fires off the gun and shouts,"go! go! go" i can't help but feel there is more to this than either of us know. That in the grand scheme of things, we aren't finding love, but love is finding its way to us. And we are shining our lights down a dark hallway and waving our hands so that love knows where to look.
