I yawn as I sit up, pushing the covers off of me. I look around when my eyes land on Geno who was fast asleep. 'They sleep during the day right, so I should let him be.' I think as I get up. I quickly get dressed and head downstairs.

"Hey, where's that thing?" Red asks earning my, half asleep, attention.

I look over to see everyone looking at me "You mean Geno? He's still asleep."

"Nope, go wake him up. We aren't taking any chances. He either stays with you at all times or we kill him." Dust says

"That's a little harsh don't you think. I mean he hasn't hurt anyone." Blue chimes in

"We all talked about this last night. We don't know what he will do, he might kill us all we can't let our guards down."

I roll my eyes and head back upstairs and in to my room. Geno had hid himself under his pillow, probably to hid from the sun.

I walk up and gently remove the pillow as I shake him "Geno get up." I coo not wanting to startle him. His body moved but he showed no sign of waking up. 'He's a heavy sleeper.' I think as I kneel next to him. Then I noticed he wasn't breathing. "Geno?" I shake him again, rougher this time, but he still didn't wake up.

I started panicking wondering if I should get Sci or keep trying. I leaned over trying to hear if his breath was just too shallow to see his chest move. Geno shot up with a gasp. Startled I fell back while he tried catching his breath, clawing at his chest with tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Oh god I thought you died." I comment trying to calm my heart down

"I- I think I did, at least for a moment." Geno starred at the blanket for a solid minute before turning to meet my gaze. "Sorry did you need something?" He asks wiping his face

"Oh, everyone said that you need to stay with me at all times, so I came to wake you up."

Geno nodded and got out of bed as I got off the floor "Here I have some clothes you can borrow. I'll be waiting outside the room when you're done." I say as I take out a clean shirt and pants. Then I left closing the door behind me. A minute later Geno came out wearing jeans and one of my extra hoodies that I "found" they were slightly too big on him, but it was the best I had. I motion for Geno to follow me as I walked back down stairs.

"Well, he's not dead. I guess we can put him to work." Cross comments not so quietly. "Reaper show him what you do and don't let him out of your sight."

"If he does I'll be the one to talk to him." Red adds gripping the handle of his knife.

"I'm right here ya' know." Geno mumbled behind me

I raise my arm in front of him as to say be quiet. "I'll be sure to keep him out of trouble. Come on." I grab Geno's arm and lead him out the back door through the kitchen.

"So what are we doing?"

"Just checking the fence to make sure there's no weak spots, then we'll go on the roof and watch for any trouble. I'll also show you how to defend yourself if you'd like." I say placing my hand on the iron bars giving them a slight push.

"Not to seem rude and ungrateful, but why?"

I snicker as I look back at Geno who had his hood up and his hands in his pockets. "Because I don't see you as a threat, besides I think it's unfair if you get attacked and can't defend yourself. Believe it or not I do have standards." I follow the fence pushing it as I go while Geno followed behind me.

Geno stayed silent as we walked the perimeter. Once we were done we went inside, up the stairs. "Why are we back in here?"

"Well, we need on the roof luckily the house has ladder only accessible from the second floor hall window." I inform as we walk over to said window. I open it and lean out grabbing the ladder then pulling myself out. "Do you want some help? You look scared."
