𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙢𝙚 '𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙{𝘈 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘮𝘢 𝘍𝘢𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯}

✿In the Beginning✿

A/N: This first part takes place when the characters are children so

 a lot of my headcanons are gonna be a part of this.Kay? Kool.

Oh Also the ages right now are 7 to 9 years old. Ouma is 9, Maki's 9, and Shuichi is 8

Maki's POV:

Just like any day, Ouma's sleeping in again. I noticed he only sleeps in when he's upset about something but I never bother him about it unless it looks serious.

I go to wake him up but when I got to his bed he was already awake, twiddling his fingers. I silently walk up behind him before putting my hands on his boney shoulders. He didn't eat much but it's not like the food here is any good anyway, so I sort of get it.  Ouma flinches, oops.. Must've startled him too much aha-

"What the heck, Maki?? I thought I said not to sneak up on me like that anymore!" oh yeah- I have scared him a few times before, though every time I did, I was never on purpose.

"Sorry about that, Ouma. I wanted to come wake you up. You missed breakfast,,,"

"Well I'm already awake! annnnd don't worry, I'm not even hungry! I snuck snacks from the kitchen last night! Neeheehee!"

"Of course you did." I smile, shaking my head. He's only a year younger than me but he really does act like he's five sometimes. But I guess he acts his age when the time comes. I remember falling and hurting my knee, his childish self calmed down to help me then, even if I told him I didn't need the help.

It's not like he never gets hurt, he gets hurt a lot actually. Always falling out of trees or hitting his head, ect ect. He isn't clumsy, just outgoing. He's fun to hang out with even though I don't really show it visibly.

"Come on. if you spend anymore time in here we're both gonna get in trouble for missing lunch too"

Ouma nods his head, smiling brightly as he follows me out of the room.

~Cute Time Skip to a few days later cause I'm lazy~

Again, Ouma's sleeping in. Jeez- that's the third time this week.

Crap--I gotta get him up quickly, it's almost time for school.. I rush to Ouma's room in the orphanage and shake him awake. his eyes flutter open slowly as he rubs his right eye.

"What is it, Makiroll?" I huff at the nickname before running my fingers through his hair like some big sister trying to help her little brother. "Hurry up and get dressed, we're gonna miss the buss,," I say calmly. Ouma starts freaking out and apologizing for sleeping in again. It's not hurting anyone but himself so I don't know why he apologizes for things like that. He comes back about five minutes later, in his uniform of course. We get on the bus, and eventually, we're at school. we're in the same grade but not the same class which kinda angers me cause sometimes Ouma comes up to me during our recess telling me about kids that teased him and I never have the time to do anything about it. Luckily That's not what happened today, actually I didn't see him come to me at all today.. Must've finally made another friend

Kokichi's POV(woah! A main character? finally.):

I went outside for recess, I saw someone who looked new; He had navy blue hair, dark golden eyes, definitely taller than me, probably older too. I walk up to him, which he apparently noticed quickly cause it seemed like he was getting nervous.

"Hiya, New-kid! I'm Kokichi Ouma! neeheehee~ It's suuuuper nice to meet you!" I giggle, smiling at the boy.

"Shuichi Saihara; Nice to meet you too, Ouma" Saihara smiles softly at me. Woah he's actually nice! yay!

we spend half the recess time getting to know each other. apparently his uncle is a world class detective! Of course, I found that cool and I told him that when I grow up, I wanna lead a group of people and we'll do fun crimes and he could be the detective to find us. He laughed at it, but to be fair, I did too. 

"Hey, hey, hey! wanna play a game?"

"O-oh sure! what game?"

"It'll be like uhm- a never ending game of tag!"

"Oh sure sounds fun!" Saihara smiles the same time I do "Chase me 'till the end, kay soon-to-be detective?" 

"Okay!"

~About four days later~

No One's POV:

*This just in a missing persons report has been filed. Missing person: Kokichi Ouma*
