No One's POV:

After Shuichi was given his case, he decided to spend the next few days gathering as much information as possible. Only ever leaving the house to people watch or get food which was usually Bagels from the local café, Lucky Bagels. Though he only ate cause his friends forced him to. If it weren't for them, He'd be living solely on coffee and bread. 

Today's currently June 20th, 1 day before Kokichi's birthday and Shuichi didn't do much at all yet. Maki likes celebrating with shuichi since she was the closest with him as children but everyone knew even she'd lost all hope for him being alive. granted, she was the last one to lose said hope.  Maki, Shuichi, Rantaro, and Kaito all spent the day with each other, shopping like they were gonna get gifts for someone they knew wouldn't receive them so they always just gave the toys and other gifts they buy to the orphanage Maki's lives at.

However Shuichi notices something out of the corner of his eye. A short-skinny person looks awfully feminine but while looking masculine at the same time. they had that navy purple hair colour the file was telling him about but, he just brushed it off as a coincidence at the time, continuing his day as normal. after all, there's a lot of people that could have purple hair! Kaito does!

The group all goes out to eat at McDonald's (imagine not having to deal with Corona-Can't relate) and after that, they all stayed at shuichi's place for the night and for the entire next day, they all went out and had fun, as if they were really celebrating with Kokichi.

Kokichi's POV:

Today just so happens to be my birthday!  It's the 8th year I'll be celebrating it without Maki. Kinda funny to think about though, I mean-I've known her for as long as I can remember and I was so used to spending my birthday with her that after I let that stinky-ass orphanage I felt bad about not taking her with me or even telling her that I was leaving and didn't plan on seeing her again. I'm  99% sure she knows I wasn't adopted or anything special, people never wanted anyone there. looking back at it, I should've told her everything but she would've probably thought I was lying. I do that a lot, always have. Anyways, It's not like I'm spending the whole day alone; I have my new friends, D.I.C.E! the people in what I like to call my organization of supreme evil are like family to me so we don't need parents anyway.

With this being the 8th year we've been together and my 16th birthday, we decided to celebrate it with something extra special! With some amazing research conducted by my awesome self, I was able to find out that Shuichi got put on the case to find me!

Okay well- Not me exactly cause there's no point, everyone probably thinks I'm dead anyways.. No- I mean the Phantom thief!

Phantom Thief. . .

Huh, it has a nice ring to it! 'Nyways, DICE and I made an entire plan on how to celebrate my birthday this year! We made a plan to go for some really special jewel located in the Togami Inc building. It's a big job for only so many of us but this went through weeks upon weeks of planning. Every possible outcome we could think of was prepared incase we needed any backup plans or need a quick way to escape or abort the plan, etc. etc..

Eventually the time was approaching and the entire group was getting ready. I, on the other hand decided to make Shuichi's job just a little easier for him, none of that file told him any information so went to his house, apparently while he was out too

'Huh, I wonder where he is' I think to myself before brushing it off. It is June maybe he got a boyfriend and he's vibing during pride month? nah seems unlikely. I didn't know him for very long while we were kids but he seemed all too shy. Who really knows though? Maybe I'll get the chance to mess with the poor guy.

I plant a little note on his file about me and all it says is Togami Incorporation. but other than that, there's nothing not even a cute doodle like what I usually do when writing notes! oopsie ! toooootallly didn't mean not not personalize it! that's a lie :)

A/N: so I was gonna continue but It's almost 3AM and um I'm trying to read kiibouma crap instead of sleep cause sleep is for the weak. AnYwhODdlEs I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I was definitely gonna make this longer so consider yourself lucky :') also y'all should totally watch that video at the very beginning of the chapter, It's super well edited and one of my many favourite Kokichi edits
