The others crowded into the laboratory as quickly as they could, their minds racing with anticipation. "I don't know how it found it, or how it managed to form, but it found it! The glitch that sent you guys here!" Vincent exclaimed, sounding both anxious and exited at the same time.
He tapped the buttons on the time scanner to identify what it had found, while Hana helped. But oddly, when the scanner loaded, the two looked confused, lost,
Even slightly frightened.
"What is it?" Asked Irrilia impatiently, "what's the glitch?"
"Uhh....fellow cousins..." Hana began shakily, "we must discuss the glitch in private before we can determine it's full results,"
"What! we don't have time for discussion!" Said Thalos frustratedly, "trust me," Vincent told him, "you'll have plenty time for what we've found...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Hamato's gathered in the living room, leaving the turtles in the lab. They gathered around Vincent and Hana as they told them what exactly the glitch was.
"So, what is it about the glitch that makes it so important?" Irrilia inquired to Vincent, "what's going on?"
Vincent took a deep breath and closed his eyes tying to relax, "well, let's just say that...if this glitch is really is important as the scanner says it is...and it's for reals...then there's a slight chance...that we won't...exist."
The children's blood ran cold, as their jaws hit the floor in intense realisation.
"W-wont e-exist?!" Exclaimed Kiba, her calm nature suddenly replaced with an expression of fear, "how? What is it? Where is it heading?!"
Hana looked as scared as she did as she frantically took the scanner and tapped away, "well, these new mutants are from the past, and they were sent here by the portal to fix a glitch, except, the glitch they were supposed to fix isn't heading here...." she kept tapping, this time faster and near scared than before.
"The glitch they're supposed to fix is in their time, and that glitch is none other than...." Hana paused for a moment, Vincent looked over her shoulder, "a giant, planet destroying, mutagen bomb," he finished.
'If that bomb goes off in their dimension, our parents will all die, and they'll never have us.....our whole future won't exist," Irrilia breathed, almost fossilised to the spot.
"Then our problem is bigger than we thought,"
The kid's turned around to see the turtles standing and listening behind them, also looking more than a little worried.
"You were spying on us?!" Irrilia exclaimed more than a bit irritated.
"It's a good thing we did," Raph talked back, "yeah," Leo said agreeing, "why didn't you tell us!?"
"It was our personal knowledge! After all we are the ones going extinct here!" Hana retorted.
"But it's our dimension that's getting completely demolished by a giant mutagen bomb!" Donnie shot back.
"Well if it goes off then not only is your dimension getting destroyed, ours is too!" Thalos added irritatedly.
"EVERYONE STOP!" Yelled Kiba at the top of her lungs, her voice almost echoing through the lair.
She took a deep breath to calm herself down, "we can't risk falling out now. Not when both of our worlds are at risk.
Vincent has a plan, tell them," she said turning to Vincent.
"Well..." Vincent began, "in order to save both of our dimensions, we're going to have to get to THEIR dimension to stop the mutagen bomb from hitting," The others looked at him with uncertainty.
"And how are we gonna do that?!" Asked Mikey starting to really get anxious, "it's not like we've got a time machine hangin around the streets of New York!"
"actually...we do," said Vincent grinning.
He led them to a huge box that was kept in the weapons closet, on the lock was a lock with a code in order to unlock it.
"My mom put on a special code to keep it safe," Vincent said, "it's probably gonna take a while to figure-
"Done!" Hana proclaimed, and she was right, the lock beeped green and the box was opened.
"How'd you manage to figure that out so quickly?" Asked Raph looking both confused and impressed,
"Well, I guess i just thought about all of the possible combinations the lock could be, and i just chose the most obvious one that be most easiest to remember, that being 225643,"
"IT TOOK ME 10 MONTHS TO FIGURE THAT OUT!" Vincent yelled exasperatedly,
"Shocker," Hana answered smirking.
Vincent slowly lifted the lid and took out a small shoebox tied tightly with a string. Vincent cut the string with a dagger, and took the lid off, revealing a small cylinder shaped gadget with a blue button on it that looked like a small clock.
"behold!" Said Vincent proudly presenting it, "mom's emergency backup time jumper! Or EBTJ for short."
"Wait, so you're plan is to use this time jumper to take u back to our time so we can stop the mutagen bomb?"
Inquired Leo trying to understand, "yeah, pretty much," said Vincent innocently, "why?"
"Well, aren't we a little under prepared for dealing with a huge threat such as this?" Added Donnie crossing his arms,
"Donatello's right," Hana said stepping in, while also giving him a little smile, "If were going to stop this bomb, and save both of our timelines, were going to need...reinforcements,"
"But from who?" Asked Thalos, "we can't let the grown-ups know about this cuz then the'd freak, so we have no one else who's strong enough to help us,"
"We have enough strong allies in our time to help stop it, with any luck they'll be enough," answered Leo.
The others hastily agreed, and headed back to the lair to gear up. The kid's gathered all the useful weapons and gadgets they could find, and offered some for the turtles to use as well.
Once they were geared up and ready, Vincent readied the time jumper.
"You sure about this?" Asked Leo cautiously as Vincent activated it, "No, not really," he said honestly. He pressed the button, and a white portal spewed out of the front of the cylinder. The turtles and the kid's jumped in with full speed, and slowly fell into the abyss of time.
They landed sooner or later, right on top of a building of New York, almost right back where they had started.
"Whoa, so this is where you guys came from," said Vincent looking around in awe, "So retro, and old,"
"Those mean the same thing, Vince,' Hana corrected.
Suddenly they heard a faint noise, it was somewhere around the rooftop. They got their weapons out, prepared for whatever was there. Suddenly they heard it,
"GOONGALA!"
Casey jumped out of the shadows knocking Vincent to the side. Shinigami came at Thalos wrapping her chain around his tail, dragging him to the ground as Karai came at him with her katana. April then attacked Hana with her Tessen, but swiftly moved out of the way blocking the attack with her staff.
"Everyone stop!" Yelled Leo breaking up the fight. "They're our friends, they are not enemies."
"Leo!" Exclaimed Karai running over to them.
"Finally, we've been looking for you guys for hours," Casey grumbled.
"who are the freaks?" Asked Shini sassily eyeing the kids.
"It's a long story," answered Raph impatiently,
"Get over here and we'll tell you,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"WHAT!" All four of them exclaimed when they were told the truth.
"Ok, let me get this straight. For 1 whole day you've been in an alternate dimension where in that dimension somehow you found your future children!" April exclaimed beyond shocked and confused.
"Well... they're technically OUR future children," answered Donnie nervously.
"Well, why are they here? And why did you guys get sent there?" Answered Karai.
"We were sent there to be warned of a glitch in our timeline," Leo replied,
"what glitch?" Questioned Shinigami.
Suddenly they heard a rumble. A Huge one. The kind that would most likely shake the entire earth.
"Maybe THAT may be the answer your question Shini," Casey answered nervously pointing at the sky.
He was right. A huge green disc, looking strangely like a UFO was slowly coming into view. It glowed green with mutagen and was most likely 2 times bigger than Lord Dregg's ship. The 8 of them headed back over to the kids.
"Everyone stand back!" Ordered Irrilia, "there's no telling how fast it's gonna hit!"
"What do we do?" Asked Shini frantically.
"Our options for a plan are limited," Hana concluded, "we can't blow it up otherwise it will destroy earth anyway, and it's too heavy to block," Donnie walked up next to her with a solution of his own, "there is one option that could work," he suggested, "we might be able to shut it off, somehow..."
Vincent eyes lit up, "we could climb it!" He yelled excitedly,
"What!" Snapped Karai, "we have no idea how big that thing is! It could take even days for us to climb it!"
"Karai," Leo interrupted putting a hand on her shoulder and looking at her in the eye, "it's a chance, and right now, it's the bet chance we got to save the world...again," Karai smiled at him and nodded, letting her turtle know that she trusted him.
"Alright team, let's climb that bomb!" Said Mikey butting in confidently, "half of us will stay here to make sure the bomb does no damage before it hits," said Irrilia, "me, Kiba, the metal mask guy, and the witch girl will stay here," Hana offered.
"Don't you think you'll need a little extra help?"
The team turned around to see none other than the Mighty Mutanimals standing behind them, battle ready.
"Slash, Mona!" Raph exclaimed running over to them.
"Leatherhead!" Yelled Mikey running over cutely to his best friend, "Good to see you Michaelangelo," said Leatherhead as he gave the small turtle a bear hug.
"What are you guys doing here ? How'd you know that the bomb is hitting?" Asked Raph.
"Let's just say we had a warning from a fan of yours," answered Mona Lisa.
"What fan?" Leo replied.
Behind the mutanimals floated a young girl with a spiky looking helmet holding a large sceptre.
"Renet!" Yelled Mikey running to her as she descended. "Hello again turtle warriors, i have come to inform you that-
"There's a glitch in our timeline that we were sent back in time to be warned about and fix, we know," said Raph, looking a bit fed up with explaining it so much.
"Yes, that," said Renet looking surprised, "it's urgent time business i came as soon as i could to help," she added before hugging Mikey lovingly.
Slash broke them apart, "save the hugs for after the fight, look alive!"
The bomb seemed to be closer to earth than it first appeared. Not as close but close enough to have still have limited time.
"He's right," said Mona Lisa, "we must climb it and destroy it before it hits, the ones who need to stay stay, let us hurry!"
With that said, the heroes began to make their way towards the bomb.
Renet managed to fly a few of them upwards with the sceptre, while some of the others managed to get up with the help of Donnie turtle gliders.
Soon the city was starting to notice the bomb coming their way, as many civilians started panicking and running. Luckily the turtles and the others managed to find their way onto the bomb in order to deactivate it.
"The control centre must be at the top!" yelled Donnie as they landed at the bottom side. "We gotta get to the top, and fast!"
And he was right, soon the bottom of the bomb started bubbling and fizzing, as it started to spew fireball-like spheres of mutagen down onto the city. They even seemed to be boiling hot too as the rooftops of buildings seem to almost melt when they hit.
But it didn't matter. The turtles would fix this. They knew they could. They always did.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"the buildings are practically dissolving from the blasts!" Yelled Hana looking terrified, "there's nothing we can do!" Answered Shini frantically, "she's right, only shutting the bomb off can save the earth now," added Vincent.
"AAAAAAH!" Someone screamed. It was Kiba. She was clutching her face as they saw steam coming from it. The others ran over to help her.
"What happened? What's wrong with her?!" Asked Casey looking extremely worried. "She must have gotten hit by a mutagen ball, her face is scorched," answered Hana, tears twinkling in her eyes. She removed Kiba's hands from her face to see a gigantic scorch scar, stained right across her face. "If it's mutagen, then how come she is not changing?" Shini inquired. "My mother's mutagen in her cells allowed her to resist and change her mutant and human form as she pleased, making her somewhat immune to the effects," Kiba mumbled, tears streaming down her cheeks as she clutched her face, "that's why i do not change as rapidly. But now," she said looking up, "i may not be able to see her this time...."
The bomb was moving closer and closer to earth with each second that passed. If it wasn't shut off soon, there would be no future for them to go back to.
"Donnie! The switch!" Yelled April, holding on as the wind whipped her face. "I'm trying!" He yelled back grabbing onto the top and desperately fumbling with the outside switch.
Soon the bomb was moving to rapidly for them to keep holding on. Leo, Karai, April, and Mikey all fell, heading straight towards a building. they landed with a CRASH!
Leo felt awful. Not just because of wounds and scars, but because he knew that they were soon to fail. Why was this different from any other threat they had stopped? Why was this so difficult to prevent? Leo didn't know, and maybe it didn't even matter anymore...
"Okay Leo, there's no reason to freak out, just because half of the team is gone!" He said slamming his fist into the ground. But he could hardly punch properly. He collapsed a second later.
He felt someone come up to him from behind. He slowly looked up. "Kiba?" He asked, finding it hard to recognise her because of her scar. "Oh no, your face..." he breathed miserably. "Shhhh," Kiba whispered taking his head in her arms, "It's Ok Leonardo," She said, "I see that you are always trying to protect your brothers and your friends, but sometimes we are going to get hurt...."
She cradled his head trying her best to comfort him, "she's right Leo," Said Karai crawling over to where they were, "None of us know what might happen if this thing hits, But the best thing we can do is have hope for whatever will happen..."
She crawled over to Leo and hugged him tightly while lying down. Leo knew what she meant and hugged her back.
Soon everyone heard the wind pick up as the bomb still steadily made it's way down. More of the others kept falling down from the bomb and landing on the building, until they were all on there.
"Donnie, what do we do?!" Yelled April petrified. Donnie said nothing. He gently took her hand and held it tightly. Knowing what he meant, she nodded, trying hard to be brave for him.
Mikey held his hand out to Renet, But she pulled his in for a hug instead. Mikey hugged her back and started quietly sobbing into her shoulder.
Raph crawled over to Mona and grabbed her arm. "Mona, I'm so sorry i made you stay on Earth, you'd be living safe if it wasn't for me!" He said crying, Mona answered by taking his other hand in hers, "If earth is where i die, i will happily accept my fate with you," they smiled at each other through their tears as they hugged each other.
"I Love you Bros!" Leo Yelled through the wind. The turtles and the others crawled over to each other to spend their last moments as a team.
The cousins all huddles together, "If we're never gonna see Mom and dad again, i want you guys to know i love you!" Yelled Irrilia sobbing, "We Love you Rils!" Thalos yelled back.
Soon all of the others were huddles together closely, awaiting their fate as it came closer to the city.
This was it. Now, They had nothing left to do....
