She was laughing. And it wasn't because of Jeno.

Jeno watched as Jiwoo threw her head back, giggling at whatever Haechan had told her as she walked with the phoenix and Shotaro. Jeno desperately wanted to join them just to hear what Haechan had said for her to act that way, but he couldn't.

That was because Jeno was busy working with the group of werewolves in front of him on the field, making sure they were all comfortable with the enhancements their animal bodies gave them.

"Um, hyung?" Sungchan said, bringing Jeno back to reality. His head immediately snapped towards the younger wolf and even thought Sungchan was much taller than Jeno, there was fear in his eyes.

"Yes?" Jeno asked, his tone coming out more bitter than he intended.

"Um, they're finished with the exercise." Sungchan whimpered out, clearly shaken by Jeno's sudden change in behaviour.

"Let's go over full moon behaviour." Jeno said, forcefully shoving his hands in his pockets as he made his way towards the group, Sungchan quickly following behind them.

"I can't believe you did that!" Jiwoo exclaimed before giggling again. "How are you still alive?"

"Na Jaemin." Haechan simply answered, a wide grin on his face.

Haechan had just told Jiwoo and Shotaro the prank he had pulled on Rena, which involved pretending to burn some of the books the demon was using for her research project. The phoenix had even gotten her full reaction on video, which was absolutely priceless.

"Ah, of course Jaemin would stop her." Shotaro said, smiling from ear to ear.

"You're lucky Rena loves him so much. Otherwise, you would have been dead meat." Jiwoo said as they got settled in the empty lab where they completed their research projects.

Jiwoo shared this lab with Shotaro, each having a half to themselves. Haechan had was apparently very far along with his project, so he wanted to spend the day relaxing with his friends instead.

Jiwoo was surprised that Haechan chose them two, not Renjun or Mark who were Haechan's usual victims. But Haechan had informed them that the two were quite busy today, so he had to settle with them instead. Jiwoo didn't mind though. She liked how Haechan was easygoing and cracked jokes all the time, often lightening the atmosphere.

Shotaro was also someone who laughed easily, so the three of them together made a light mood, filled with giggles throughout the day. Jiwoo had to admit, this was probably one of the happiest she's ever had at the school.

"So, Jiwoo." Haechan said with a big smirk as he sat at the table in the middle of the room, his chin in his hands. "Tell me about how it's going with Jeno."

Jiwoo rolled her eyes. "He's one of your closest friends, go ask him yourself."

This only made the phoenix pout. "But Jeno is all serious around us. He's only soft around you and Jaemin."

"Okay then ask Jaemin." Jiwoo replied turning back to her experiments but Haechan didn't let her go that easily.

"And suffer through the PDA between him and Rena? No thank you." Haechan said with a fake gag.

When Jiwoo turned around, she was surprised to see that Shotaro was staring at her too.

"Oh no, don't tell me you're curious too." Jiwoo said, narrowing her eyes.

Shotaro simply gave her his typical smile. "Maybe just a bit."

Jiwoo sighed, unable to go against the puppy dog eyes the two boys were giving her. She pulled out the chair at the table they were sitting at, taking a seat herself.
