Jeno leaned back in his chair, balancing on the two hind legs as he watched Renjun and Haechan bicker about which board game to play.
Shotaro was silently watching with a wide smile while Jaemin and Yangyang were fiddling with their phones, definitely texting their girlfriends.
Every now and then, Renjun and Haechan would call a "boys only night," which Jeno thought was an excuse for their two friends to drag them out so they wouldn't feel terribly single alone.
Not my fault they messed things up with Minjee, Jeno thought as he let out a deep sigh, adjusting his chair so it was flat again.
I wonder what Jiwoo is doing with Rena.
"We played yours last time, we should play mine this time!" Haechan exclaimed.
"But yours is lame!" Renjun argued, pushing Haechan aside.
Whatever it is, it must be better than this.
The sound of Jaemin putting his phone down loudly made the two stop arguing to turn their heads towards the male, the others following.
"We play a game every time, why don't we do something else." Jaemin suggested.
"Like what?" Renjun and Haechan said at the same time before shooting each other glares.
"I heard the school is haunted." Yangyang said, casually slipping his phone into his pocket.
Jaemin nodded his head. "Yeah, Jaehyun-hyung told me about that too. He heard ghosts this one time."
"Tch, ghosts don't exist." Renjun pointed out.
"How do you know?" Haechan retorted.
"Why don't we go and find out?" Jeno said, quickly butting in before the two started arguing again.
Jeno watched as the other boys thought for a moment before standing up.
"You know, that wasn't a bad idea." Haechan said as him and Renjun walked out of the lounge together.
Jeno narrowed his eyes as the other boys followed him.
What is that supposed to mean?
...
Shotaro found himself standing outside of the Academy, the moon and stars high up in the sky as he stood there with the other 00 liners.
Shotaro actually found the others males quite entertaining, always making him giggle. Even though it was clear they were already very close, they always included Shotaro in their boys' nights like this.
"Okay, but it's not fun if we go in there together, we should do a competition." Haechan suggested.
"What's the furthest room from here?" Yangyang asked, glancing at the others.
"Doyoung's potion lab." Renjun told them.
"Why don't we go and grab something from that room and see who can make it back here without chickening out." Haechan said, hands in his pockets.
"What can we even grab from a potions lab?" Jeno asked, making Renjun's eyes twinkle.
"Doyoung's master potions book. It's thick and leather bounded, sitting on the centre of his desk, you can't miss it. And the best part is that there's only one." Renjun happily announced.
"So it's a race." Jaemin said and Shotaro couldn't help but giggle. Everyone knew that Jaemin was definitely the least competitive out of all the trainers.
