Hopeless

"What do you think?" Renjun asked motioning to the food Haechan was eating.

The two of them were sitting in their usual lounge, sharing some food that they had ordered.

"It's good." Haechan said, before glancing at Renjun. "But not as good as the food I got."

"Yah, you're not even paying, be grateful." Renjun argued.

"My previous point still stands." Haechan replied.

Renjun stood up, the sound of his chair scrapping the ground filling the room.

The two boys began bickering like usual, both so occupied with trying to beat each other with their words that they didn't even hear the door open, and the couple walking in.

"This is sad." Rena said, making the two stop to turn their head towards her.

Jaemin who was holding his girlfriend's hand nodded his head in agreement. "It is."

"What's sad?" Haechan asked as Renjun shot him a dirty look before sitting down.

"You two." Rena said as her and Jaemin pulled chairs out, sitting with them. "It's like you don't know how to talk to girls after Minjee."

At the sound of the girl's name, the two boys froze for a second, making Rena and Jaemin giggle.

"That is not true!" Renjun called out, but his mouth was full of food. The look on Renjun's face made Haechan laugh, which caused him to choke and spit out his food.

"You two just proved her point." Jaemin stated as Renjun squeezed his arm, disgusted. "This is why you're both single."

"Is not!" Renjun and Haechan said at the same time.

Rena shook her head, standing up and dragging Jaemin out with her.

"There's no point. They're hopeless."

"Tch, hopeless." Haechan said, crossing his arms as he leaned onto the lockers, watching as Jeno pulled his things out. "I am not hopeless!"

"When it comes to love, you definitely are." Jiwoo said from the other side of Haechan, waiting for Jeno as well.

"Yah, why do you get a say for this?" Haechan said, glaring at the girl.

"To be fair, if both Jiwoo and Rena say you're hopeless, you really are." Jeno said with a smirk, making Haechan roll his eyes.

"Your opinions are invalid." Haechan said with a huff.

"I don't know." Jiwoo said, smirking as both her and Jeno turned, the three of them making their way down the hall. "At this point, you should just date Renjun."

Jeno began cackling in laughter at Jiwoo's comment but Haechan was not impressed.

"Tch, I got a girlfriend once! I'll show you!"

"I am not hopeless!" Renjun exclaimed as he work in the lab, Yangyang and Xiaojun sitting behind him as they played games with each other, procrastinating.

"The fact that you're saying that just means you are." Xiaojun said before yelling, "yah, I was distracted!"

Yangyang giggled, proud of his win before placing his phone down, glancing in Renjun's direction. "What are you hopeless about?"

"Dating." Renjun said before adding, "apparently. I really don't think I am."

Renjun heard a scoff and turned to see Yangyang flashing him his bright smile. "What, you don't agree?"
