Write To Me

The next week of exams had gone by quietly, most people receiving the marks they had wanted. Potions was, of course, awkward for Charlize but she managed, even though Professor Snape hadn't made his last few classes easy, either, his anguish showing in his teachings.

Fred was giddy with excitement (when he wasn't asking Charlize about if she was going to wolf out at the next full moon), he practically floated to his exams with thoughts of the summer and how he'd spend every waking moment with Charlize and Georgie, nothing could damper his mood.

It was the last Friday at Hogwarts, before they had to leave the next morning for summer holiday. This meant that the annual sleepover had commenced, Taylor, Hermione, Ginny, Luna (invited by Ginny), and Charlize were all sitting in Charlize, Hermione, and Ginny's dorm room. They sat on the floor after curfew, laughing and daring each other to eat Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans that had questionable colors and odors. Hermione and Charlize, who had unfortunately come across dog food and rotten eggs, had decided to stay away from any more of the rancid treats.

"Lu, could you pass me my robe? I want to get my wand out of the pocket." Charlize asked, wanting to put her wand somewhere safe so it wasn't sat on accidentally as Ginny and Hermione rough housed.

Luna grabbed the robe from the pocket with the wand to make sure it wouldn't fall out, however this caused the other pocket to fall limp, a note slipping out of it, Draco's note.

"What's that?" Ginny asked, pointing to the note on the floor.

Charlize shook her head, "Just a letter Draco gave me a few days ago."

"What's it say!" Hermione shouted, pushing Ginny out of the way before going to grab the letter.

"I haven't read it yet," Charlize shrugged. "Probably a new way for him to make me feel bad."

Taylor let out a groan, "Oh, come on! Maybe he is trying to be nice and you've been ignoring the poor bloke."

"He has looked rather glum and irritable the past few days. But maybe he ate a bad Bertie Bott." Luna added, before looking off deep in thought.

"Alright give it here, I'll read it." Charlize said, causing the girls to sit in a circle closer to her, knees brushing.

"But first," Charlize held the half open note to her chest. "If anyone asks, you never read this and don't know what it says." She said with a pointed look, receiving nods from all the girls.

           "Go on then!" Ginny exclaimed.

Charlize took a breath and opened the letter the rest of the way, clearing her throat she began to read...

Dear Charlize,

I'm sorry and I hope I do, eventually, give you this letter. Considering you are probably reading this I have mustered up the strength. Anyway, I wanted to speak about the events of earlier today, the fight. I want to apologize for my behaviour towards you, I'm not sure why it came out, assuming it was my anger, it was uncalled for. Despite what I so idiotically said, I enjoyed being your friend immensely, it is understood if you don't wish to continue our acquaintance. You confuse me, Charlize. You are the most complex, unexplainable creature that I have ever met (I don't mean this with any hatred, of course I can't be too soft now can I). Before I say anything that I may regret, I will conclude this letter with a request. If you reject my apology (understandably) then I will not await a response. However, if you do accept, please return a letter. (they are preferred as I find it easier to speak to you my thoughts through letters rather than face to face).
